I don't think Uncle Bill gets the credit he deserves for being such a loving dad to those kids. He was so loving without being overly cheesy like other dads on TV. Rest In Peace Uncle Bill❤
I think everyone on Family Affair was perfectly cast in their roles. Each one seemed to fit their character very well. Family Affair was one of my favorite shows.
Such a great show! So sad when his child took their own life. He sadly did the same. And Buffy dying so young of drugs. Bless all their hearts. May they have eternal peace and rest 🕊️🙏❤️
@@FactsVerse has to be between the pilot episode and Christmas came early with Eve plumb and goodbye Harold with the hamsters those are my top 3 favorites
I was born in 1960 and loved that show as a child. In Calgary in the early eighties, I saw Kathy Garver that played Cissy, in a dinner theatre play. Priscilla Barnes that played Terry in Three’s Company, was also in the play.
We're happy to know that you loved the show. Thank you so much for sharing your life story. If we may ask, which episode is the most memorable for you?
I liked Buffy and miss Beasley and all the rest as well . Mr French was the favorite one he had so much patience. I also share the same birthday as the actress that plays Buffy. I was born in 1966 and remember the show well. Thankyou for posting this video.
The thing I remember most is the Mrs. Beasley doll. My two girl cousins wanted it for Christmas one year and you would not believe how much of an effort my grandparents and parents went to find them. They finally found them at a Penny's about an hour away from where we lived.
Uncle Bill was my favorite. Family Affair aired before I was born but I remember watching it when I was 3 years old. I thought Uncle Bill was the best !
One person that is really overlooked is Jody or Johnny Whitaker. He is still vertical! Yep still here with us! When I saw the title I was a bit shocked.
Brian Keith was also on an episode of Star Trek Deep Space 9 where he played a hold out on one of the moons of Bajor. He had a home there and the Provisional government of Bajor wanted to mine the moon for it's thermal energy.
I loved this show. I caught it in reruns. I was a little too young when it first came out. You never said what happened to the son. I think his name was Joey or Jody , Buffey’ brother.
@@SuperAnimelover100 The actor is Johnny Whitiker. He did a few films with Disney Studios. One I remember was Napolian & Samantha which featured Jodie Foster and Michael Douglas. He also did a film about the Adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry "Huck" Finn. He was Tom Sawyer and Jodie Foster was Becky Thatcher.
Watched it only occasionally because it took place in a world I was unfamiliar with. The part that sticks in my head were those door knobs in the middle of the door. Couldn't figure out why they were in the middle. How inconvenient. Also couldn't figure out why the father didn't get that fixed.
My favorite character was Uncle Bill. Mr. Keith played the role perfectly. Actually, the entire cast was excellent as some have already posted. Each actor perfectly interpreted his or her role . I liked how episodes included black people as extras and main characters, too. Family Affair is one of my favorite shows. The producers and writers should have been more sensitive about the toll the show had on the youngest actors ie giving Anissa ample time off while her leg healed instead of having her work through the discomfort and pain.
I read that Sebastian Cabot spent most of his time in Victoria, British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦. I also read that Anissa Jones after Family Affair ended hung out with the crowd. Would be interesting to see what she would look like if she was alive today. John Williams did appear on McCloud and Columbo during the 1970's as a Scotland Yard police inspector or superintendent. Mr Williams spent his retirement years in the San Diego Area, he lived in La Jolla.
Anissa Jones and Susan Olsen who played Cindy Brady on the Brady bunch appeared with Elvis Presley in a movie called, the trouble with girls. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
High-end, pricey La Jolla. I lived in southern California for most of my earlier life, and I recall traveling to La Jolla as an artists' model and sitting for the workshop at the Athenaeum. It was a lot of fun, and paid well. The creative energy was electrifying.

A while back I read an article on Brian and it said he kept in touch with "Buffy" and "Jody" after the show ended and that he called them and told them what he was going to take his own life because he did not want them to hear it on the News. I always felt like he really loved them. It showed too much. I liked "Sissy" at first but felt like as time went on they made her this self centered teen which I did not like. But she was a good actress to play it so well. I loved "Mr. French" and all the others. Just all of them.
Why were there two Mr. Frenches? I seem to recall that the second Mr. French filled in while the first one (Sebastian Cabot) was on vacation back in England, or so the story line went. On the show, were they brothers?
My favorite character was Sissy, because she reminded me of my own big sister at the time, also adored Jodi, he was such a cute little boy. But the whole cast was great, so I loved them all.
This show debuted when I was in the second grade. There was a dopey claim from some kids in my school that Sebastian Cabot was Walt Disney's brother.I told them that was untrue,Disney was an American and Cabot was English.
I remember that episode well. He played PIP, the devil's representative, who set up in luxurious digs a convict who was killed while running from a crime he had just committed. The poor convict was so confused -- he thought he was in heaven because he was getting everything he wanted and ever enjoyed. Then, he got bored with it all and none of it appealed to him, anymore. He asked PIP if he could leave heaven and go "to the other place." I remember Cabot's loud, long, demonic laughter as he announced: "This IS the other place!"
the only episode of family affair that i like was when brian keith went under cover. someone at his plant was stealing things, costly things. and brian finally had a chance to play a tough man role to stop these thieves . now that was cool, i was 14 -17 years old at the time and family affair was just way to corny for me. but i can see the idea of young children liking it.
My cousin has an original with the original box. She also has all of the baby dolls of the 70s baby alive, baby tender love, and whatever else there was she got a doll every Christmas. Her mom always made her keep the hair nets on them and put them back in the box after playing with them.
