"The only hope for the underpowered is careful reservation of momentum. You can't brake and you certainly can't lift your foot off the gas. Performance driving of non-performance automobiles requires deep confidence and unwavering commitment. Forget accelerating out of the apex - you have to stay fierce throughout the turn. When you are thinking about pressing the brake, just don't."

There’s something great fun about driving a slow car as fast as you can. You quickly find out how much turning the steering wheel slows you down and that you really don’t need to use as much steering lock as you thought you did and also that even cheap little shopping cars will go round a corner much faster than you would imagine. 67bhp is tons of power anyway, my old Fiat Uno and Ford Fiesta both had 45bhp and I managed to drive them irresponsibly quickly.

The utter arse of a cutoff (which you'll only do once) is thus: When the battery goes flat (as it inevitably does on a race car) you connect up an external battery. However, if your cutoff is in the off position, prepare for a very smokey resistor and possibly melting plastic....and much concerned scratching of head initially. Some warning labels on your jumper posts are a good shout to prevent this!

I can tell you, it's a lot cheaper than these guys are doing it and a lot of fun! yes we get owned bya an Audi R8 or a Caterham... but our car cost us £800 quid and in the corners not having to worry if you prang it means the advantage some others have on us isn't as great as you'd think!

What I'd say is, go to your nearest track, doesn't matter if they do it or not and ask them.
