Why do we “black” people discuss crime prevention methods with need more parks, recreation centers, and mid-night basketball. We don’t ever discuss the root causes of crime since mist of us were birthed and raised in the same environments that lead to poor outcomes with the youth. We don’t have the courage to admit what our childhood was like. Root causes: kids created by two parents who were not prepared to have children, homes lead by single mother who have no idea how to nurture productive young people, dependency on the government, no commitment to excelling in education, no desire to focus on skill development or work and poverty.
