It's been 6 months since I've been following the caveman regime. Cold shower, no soap, no products, just water. My face looks completely clear and no more acne breakouts.
When I was in highschool I had some acne so after seeing a dermatologist he gave me a face wash and moisturizer that just made my acne worse till he finally told me about Accutane which fixed it all, but when I stopped I still had small breakouts which were fixed by stopping everything and using water, only every like 5 days do I use a mild face wash and a light moisturizer
Yeah but there was a keyword in your statement compared to what he said you say less skin care products and that’s the key I disagree was not washing your face in my opinion the one thing that helped my skin the most when I had severe acne was my 2% salicylic acid face wash and then I would spot treat with a retinoid and I get what he saying you don’t want your skin to produce too much oil but that’s typically when somebody hits used something to strip their skin and you shouldn’t of the products just because of that there’s ways do you still use your skin care products that are going to be beneficial without continuing to make that worse as long as you’re using products that add hydration back you’re good and one of the things that I learned was my cause of acne happened to actually be moisture in my skin I didn’t have enough of it I had trans epidermal water loss due to a skin condition called Sjogren’s so please don’t stop your skin care it’s important because if you have severe acne you should be wearing sunscreen and if you’re wearing sunscreen you need a cleanser PERIOD!!!!
Very true. Worked for me. I did it not because I knew about this regimen, but because I felt like nothing works anymore since I'd already desperately piled up a lot of products that are supposed to help with my acne for more than half a year. Regrettably also fell into the 'rejuvenating sets' trend and ruined my skin barrier even further. Naively thought the stinging/burning/stripping feeling is normal as it's "regenerating" the skin. Currently, after almost 2 months of just washing my face with a sensitive skin friendly soap and water (only when I'm gonna shower or when I get home from somewhere), now I'm just trying to recover my face from all the acne marks by using mild skin care and not overdoing it. You do not have to have or use all the supposed to be good ingredients, knowing your skin type and which ingredients work best for it plus how they work(do's and don'ts) then deciding what you need and don't need from those is enough. Slow, but consistent. I've learned and valued that less is always more.
It was this alongside fixing my diet and other lifestyle habits like sleep that helped me the most. I was doing all the extra with skincare products. Now all I do is wash my face only when I take showers, no moisturizers either as I use a Castile soap that contains essential oils that traps in the moisture into my skin. Lots of high quality probiotics such as Milk Kefir and sauerkraut are crucial. And getting rid of toxins by going organic and purchasing higher quality meats like grass fed. Exercising to the point of sweating or saunas/hot baths to help get rid of extra toxins. All this will get rid of acne and other health problems.
My "acne" started with just tiny bumps (whiteheads) on my forehead (2020) and keeps getting worse. I started using different products since then but NOTHING WORKED. I saw a YT shorts about targeting your most pressing skin problem, and I realize, it is not my acne but my damaged skin barrier. No matter how good your acne product if your skin barrier is damaged it will continue to get worse. Now I'm on my 4th day if cutting back from any acne products I have. This is my routine for the 4th day (I have an oily, acne-prone and hellish damaged skin barrier) Morning: PH balance cleanser from Heimish and Rice Water (homemade yes) Evening: Skin 1004 centella light cleansing oil + Rice Water (I double cleanse with Heimish if I wear make up on the day) The result is promising so far compare to all the freaking things i put on my face for the ast 3 years.
“There’s no guarantee it will work for you” is the most important a part of this video. I’ve tried everything, including using nothing for a week and in the end I had some of the worst acne of my life, it was incredibly painful. Give it a go and then decide.
I fell for the skincare industry scam. I spent enough money to understand that no product actually works for my skin. When I stopped using everything but water on my face my black and whiteheads disappeared, the wrinkles that started forming got smoother, pores got visibly smaller and overall a tighter more rosey cheeked look ❤
Omg this is like so true. I used to use quite a lot of harsh products to get rid of my acne. And now like a few months ago i stopped using so many bad products. When i tell you my skin is so much better
Every time I go on vacation my skin and even hair is way more balanced because I don’t have the time to wash and treat it so much. I had thoughts about this and you approved it 😊
I just keep my skincare routine very simple these days. Gentle cleansing bar, moisturizer, and sunscreen on the days I leave the house. Everything else is not necessary.
This is so true, I fixed my worse acne by having a good diet and using minimal face care. I use a baby skin cleanser twice a day, as they have the least chemicals
@@Thr4shed_and_Shcatteredthere are like laser treatments that can get rid of most acne scars, they are expensive and may not be affective on the most severe scars, but it is an option.

He’s correct. Unless you have cystic or hormonal acne, most cleansers are too harsh and remove the natural oil barrier that protects the skin and also modulates the oil production. If you strip the oily layer, the skin responds by producing more oil from the pores that eventually get clogged.

I had some of the worst acne of my life, I was very stressed out and not taking care of myself. I ended up in the hospital for a week and in that week I only washed with water, and much less frequently. When I came home, I only had one active pimple when before I had like 8 and a ton of pigmented scars. I noticed the scars started to fade. I think mine was caused by stress and poor nutrition. When I came home, I slowly added back vitamin C, sunscreen, and a gentle cleanser. My skin will still break out but it is much less frequent and severe!
I tried this out unintentionally for a while (and right now). Its not for me due to a multitude of reasons, including facial excema thats around when acne isnt. When I have it on hand, a retinol at night has done me wonders with both issues

I think i'm one of those countless people. Back then my acne would errupt after 1 or 2 days without my skincare. But i stopped for some month and it got better (tho i still use cleansing soap and exfoliating soap)
What made a huge difference for me was making my own products : I have a skin that can easily have a bit of oil with black heads and everything. At some point : I bought (I’m french and I learned the reciepee in french so bear with it🤫) argile verte, charbon actif (in powder) and matcha green tea + tea tree essence I did the mask once a week and a put few drops of tea tree on my acnee breakthrough. I don’t have a glass skin, but I do have a clear skin. I also use vegetal oil to clean my face when using makeup : sensitive skin approved, already have those (even olive oil), clean the skin in one swipe and hydrate ! But I also took my mom’s lotions (1 for day, 1 for night). They are supposedly anti-ageing, argan oil based and have a 18/20 grade composition. And everytime I use other products, they are insufficient :/ -> less products, do some of those to know exactly what you put on you and you can adjust the composition depending on your need (sensitive ? Yeah I recently changed from chemical sunscreen to mineral sunscreen and book 50% clearer skin.. still have small bumps but the cysts just disappeared 😮
My Tip is 3x per Day in the bathroom and rubbing with clear water and a washcloth your Face half a Minute and like a Week you see diferents(1x Face cream(Simple not hard) after it on the skin)
I am on my second week of doing this but have heaps of whiteheads that are drying out and My skin burns but I will update In a month. I will be keeping it up for now

Damn Bro, havent been using any product on my skin from Nov 2022 till now, except sometimes using cold press coconut oil, and i gotta tell you, 2-3 months were the hardest as my skin was literally begging me to apply more products and break outs happened all over, but then after 6 months, they started to fade, leaving only marks there, and now after a year or so, i have little to no acne from days upon days and most scars are faded, only the ones i have popped harshly are there, but now i can go out in sun and i dont get an irritated skin and acne its much more refreshing.. being natty on this is worth a try if you can, just like you, i have been through all the stuff and universally, youll agree that every one has gone through that bottom spot in some way or another.. to all of you, hope this helps
I will start from now on not using anything on my skin.... Please respond to this comment of mine after two weeks to inform you of the results. @@rachelkrajewski5995There is a tremendous improvement. I am truly grateful to the owner of the video. How do you wash off dirt's from your face without any product? At least a mild gentle hydrating cleanser is fine but just water with oily face, don't know how that will look
I’m not sure if you’ll answer this but how did you get your skin to be so smooth!? Was it the products from banish? I’ve seen some of your videos and know you use those products. I’ve been on Accutane twice already and I’m still breaking out, on top of that I’m dealing with acne marks (some are hyperpigmentation and some are deeper in the skin). Your skin looks completely transformed….i was following your acne journey for a long time. I’m just wondering how you have managed to get your skin to look the way it does.
It has worked for me alot like alot of my pores cleard as well as my ance maybe one or two small bumps but alot has cleared, i avoid washing my face so often and only wash it with a gentle cleanser for normal to dry skin, just scars to take care of now and a few more little black head bumps😢
Skin care won't really make lot difference on ur acne it removes the dirt and makes the skin texture simply smooth but with acne .... so what basically i understood from my skin care is that it won't make much difference....Anything that stops acne what basically change is isotretinoin that medicine i really felt changes when i used it and i think that's the only thing that can change acne when it's not that severe because i took that for 5 months and i understood that ... i just wasted money on skin care products and stuff and also my time not only that alsoo my energy and hope to recovery... nothing that shit skin products will change u... i hope who ever is suffering will use isotretinoin it will give u best results
Yea it does And i have oily face And i don't use skin care products either Like he said i wash my face with clean cold water Before bed. And i apply dry gooseberry water on the face.. It really helped me to get rid of my acne and pimples ❤❤❤❤❤ You guys also gotta try this❤❤❤
That never worked for me. I started differin and built up a skincare regimen and cleared 99% of my acne and I'm tackling my hyperpigmentation. My skin is the best it's been in like 6 years. Skin is so strange sometimes.
Can't say much but after using many products My skin responds well at first after using the products then gets worse comes back to the place where I used to be... So for me it's just a waste of money and time. Instead try eating right most of the time and exercise and leaving it as it is. I use tretinoin once in a while. Just a bit once or twice a week that's it nothing else no face wash no moisturiser no serum nothing. I don't say I no longer have acne but I feel much better than using everything and not working
So I've tried this method in the past, didn't use any skin care, only water and guess what? I've never had clearer skin. Thought it's just co incidence. In general what I've noticed, less products always worked and works best to me

Day 1 - wakes up at 6.30 , washed my face with normal tap water.
Edit - Washed my face with the tap water in the evening
I’m too scared to do it
Yeah I recently changed from chemical sunscreen to mineral sunscreen and book 50% clearer skin.. still have small bumps but the cysts just disappeared 😮
mine is caused by hormones. both mensural cycle and stress.
My Tip is 3x per Day in the bathroom and rubbing with clear water and a washcloth your Face half a Minute and like a Week you see diferents(1x Face cream(Simple not hard) after it on the skin)
Even no moisturizer and sunscreen?
Should I stop using lotion as well? My face gets dry without enough lotion each day so should I cut that out as well?
I wonder too
Yes
Does this work for hormonal acne? I might try, I feel too attached to my 5 steps routine but I am desperate at this point so why not... !
I am on my second week of doing this but have heaps of whiteheads that are drying out and
My skin burns but I will update In a month. I will be keeping it up for now
has it made ur skin better
@@dailymotivation_improve no I had to stop after 3 weeks because my skin got so much worse and it was cracking with whiteheads couldn’t live my house. I am using azelaic acid now and so far it has been helping.
This doesnt work for me, if do this only my acne scabs go away but i get a LOT of other pimples on my whole face
Yeah for me too! I have an oily skin and washing my face with water at first seemed to get better but then my skin started do get so much worse
Can you face wash or soap??
But doesn't it depend on if your skin is oily or not??
No moistrizer?
It’s also important to not pop any pimples
So do we need to still put on moisturiser and suncream?
Do this or go back to a basic routine with a cleanser, moisturizer, and spf ! Sometimes too much of a good thing is bad
I will start from now on not using anything on my skin.... Please respond to this comment of mine after two weeks to inform you of the results.
A week has passed and I'm telling you, unfortunately, the pimples that disappeared have returned... They came back as they were after I was a little happy with the result. Please, if anyone knows the reason or has any advice, talk to me because my psychology has literally been destroyed.
Almost at one week, how ya doing?
@@rachelkrajewski5995There is a tremendous improvement. I am truly grateful to the owner of the video. All the large, painful, red, inflamed pimples have disappeared completely, but their effect is still there, and it is decreasing daily, but there are a few very small pimples that cannot be noticed, and I believe that they will disappear by the following week✨✨✨✨
I advise you to also stay away from skin products for a short period and there will be a noticeable improvement
How ya doin now
Ill try for few weeks but I need an answer, when washing my face should I use soap to clean? or just water.
I got my friend with awful skin to use more than just water bc it wasn't working
And now he Glowing
Can I use ice roller?
How about sunscreen?
i've been doing this because im too lazy to buy skincare products plus dont have a lot of money and i have crazy bad acne
Is your diet optimized?
@@epointc i eat whatever my family makes
Yea it does
And i have oily face
And i don't use skin care products either
Like he said i wash my face with clean cold water
Before bed.
And i apply dry gooseberry water on the face..
It really helped me to get rid of my acne and pimples ❤❤❤❤❤
You guys also gotta try this❤❤❤
Is it okay if i use sunscreen and not wash my face with only water? And what if i have like bumpy small acne?
Does this work if I’m an athlete? I work out in the gym in the morning then do my soccer training in the evening. So I sweat a lot
When i did that for 2 weeks i broke out so bad and my faces and pores was all dirty and clogged so no, dont do this
Because ist purging to get better
U should at least try it for 4 month
Can i use spf sunscream
Shall I use face wash?
Is soap allowed?
What if i wear makeup?? How am i gonna remove it??
That never worked for me. I started differin and built up a skincare regimen and cleared 99% of my acne and I'm tackling my hyperpigmentation. My skin is the best it's been in like 6 years. Skin is so strange sometimes.
Can't say much but after using many products
My skin responds well at first after using the products then gets worse comes back to the place where I used to be...
Am I supposed to start using the products again, or that was it?
So I've tried this method in the past, didn't use any skin care, only water and guess what? I've never had clearer skin. Thought it's just co incidence.
In general what I've noticed, less products always worked and works best to me
Everyone is different but for some people this is what works best for their skin!
I only needed two things: Marseille soap and hydration gel without oil
I only got spots from skincare
I cut out all products and just wash with water and moisturize with beef tallow and my acne is way better
this summer i stopped using all my acidic skincare stuff and just started using sunscreen now i have not a single pimple
I just use a face wash thing that's eco friendly idk if that's bad
How about using water and sunscreen only in the morning and water only in the evening? just an experiment
No, i cannot live without moisturizing my face. My face dries up within 5 minutes and It feels like leather and I get dry patches.
This doesnt work for me, as soon as i stop doing my skincare routine the pimples come back
The thing is - I am man (more like boy, but still), and I already don’t use skincare products.
I have a staphylococcal infection and i try anything like alc pad , anti acne cream , and Now Snail smile. How to get rid of it
What about if you wear makeup
Maybe because back then when i dont use any skincare products i dont have any acne
It worked for me like craaazy
