  • A nice little afternoon flight over the Moors. Special thanks to ‪@gizfpv‬ for having me along filming him flying the new Heewing T2 Cruza. Got some nice footage of Joe's T1 twin too.

    Didn't realise it was the new bigger T2 Ranger until I saw the gap under the fin...Difference in airspeed was also evident...Good job lads...🤔😮😮😳😏😏🇬🇧

    Nice flying man! The guy flying that T2 looked like a pretty good pilot too :p

      Oh yes! It's definitely INAV! Flies superbly.

      @@CrunklefloopI am amazed by some multi rotor maneuvers you have shown In this video, such as fly sideways and some hard yaw. I guess the stock motor/prop combo cannot achieve that.

      @Crunklefloop  10 месяцев назад +1

      If anything my motors are probably less punchy than stock. I'm using T-Motor F2004 1700kvs although they are spinning 5x3x3 props.

    Great video guys, This is my next plane. What F/C board are you using.? I was going to try the Matek f --405 VTOL F/C board . Hope you are around when I get to building mine, I may have to pick your brain on the settings . Awesome job .

      Hi, sorry for the slow reply.
      The Matek F405-VTOL is what I was using too. If you're planning on using INAV I may still have a diff-all that may speed up your setup.

    Some amazing flying at this great location. Great demo of using a VTOL wing as a chase plane!
    At 2:15, 4:20 are points where having a pan servo camera would have come in handy. (look over to the side, or back) Is hard to frame video when flying close in. Nice team work and coordination by the both pilots.

      Thanks mate.
      Yes a pan would have been handy, however I wanted to keep this build fairly aerodynamic.
      The biggest issue I was having with chasing was flying slow enough in the T1 to keep stable, especially when flying in the prop-wash of the T2.
      Had a great time.

    Awesome chasing. Were you just tracking by eye or do you use radar/formation flight to help?

    • @Crunklefloop
      @Crunklefloop  10 месяцев назад +1

      Just by eye and with the occasional help of a spotter.

    I'm struggling to configure my T-1 with VTOL with iNav 7.0 - almost no resources/guides/tutorials out there. How did you manage get yours going? Any pointers you can tell for me to finish configuring my iNAV 7.0? Thanks. I'm at point where I have transition to PID mixer #2... Still can't get it to arm without sat lock which is kinda challenging to work on bench.

      If you're on FB, ping me a DM and I can send you my Diff-All file.
      You can force arming on the bench by flicking the arm switch 10x in quick succession (make sure porps are off as in VTOL mode the motors will spin on arming).

      I found another article by accident on Google search. iNAV website does have iNAV 7.0 knowledge base which explained everything about VTOL and examples for T-1. Thankfully their examples save my time.
      And what’s not documented is 10x in succession to arm. That’s very useful! I need that. Yes, props off for sure. 🫣

    Great video. What camera and stabilisation are you using?

    • @Crunklefloop
      @Crunklefloop  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Ben, this is the on-board recording with the Walksnail V2 Pro camera. Stabilised through Gyroflow.
      I upscaled to 4K to allow for RUclipss compression.

      @@Crunklefloop thanks! I get weird jitters introduced when I try to use gyroflow on my Walksnail V2 output. Going to try a few capacitors to see if that cleans up the gyroflow values.

      @@bjrc If you right click on the timeline and click "Guess IMU" it might be that the IMU orientation is not what the lens profile is expecting. That worked for me.
