Good video. I’m just starting this job. All 5 cylinders were 150 psi and 1 is 70psi so I’m hoping it’s a valve and not the cylinder ring. I like the video because it’s all just the right speed for me to understand . Thanks
Bearing grease would have been better to use for the keepers to “stick” to the valve when installing. Installation with a small magnet and then hold it to the valve stem with your pick or small flat head screwdriver. Thanks for the video ✅
Thank you for this video! Very informative. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 with the same 2.7 engine and I need to get in there and do a valve job. I did the head gasket a couple of years ago and should have done the valves then but had no idea how to do it and nobody had a video out there at the time. Do you have any tricks or tips on ensuring the timing doesn't get thrown off when removing and re-installing the timing chain? This was my main fear when doing the head gasket. The first time I put everything back together and started the car, the timing was all screwed up so I pulled the chain off again and hand cranked the engine while watching the piston height. Hand cranked it all the way back around until I had the appropriate piston (I think it was the first one) at the lowest point and then lined the chain marks back up and put it all back together and THANK GOD, it ran perfectly fine when I started it up after that. I'm scared as hell to do it again, though. I really don't want to cause any damage if I don't get it right again. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
