  • Today we are talking with Danny O'Connor, aka "Danny Boy." You may recognize him from the 90's hip hop group House of Pain whose smash hit "Jump Around" put them at the top of the charts in 1992. Since then, there has been no shortage of ups and downs from his addiction struggles to his rise to a social media marketing mogul. With his latest project; The Outsiders House, he's continuing to enjoy an extraordinary life. You'll see why this was one of our favorite podcast guests once you watch and listen, so please sit back and get to know a little bit more about Danny and the eclectic story that led him to a very intentional place of gratitude.

A chat with Danny O’Connor from the Outsiders House Museum will always give you laughs, cries and everything in between that is good.

I am glad to hear that Danny Boy (always Danny Boy to me) is loving his lane. Can't tell you how much fun we had bumpin that H.O.P. in the 90's. God bless him and keep him on that path of light! (One day at a time, brother)

Oh Danny Boy ❤️ I had such a crush on him. I loved House of Pain…still do. While Everlast was the MC…Danny Boy had a swag to him when he rapped. I loved when his part would come on in the music videos especially when he’d turn his hat to the side. So glad I found this!

Brah, that verse sent serious questions on why he didn’t get more bars on the albums….I read somewhere that Everlast had the group on lock and had to have things his way. I also read that when La Coka Nostra came about he started doing the same thing. Early on they had a dude named Big Hook that Everlast ran off. He was dope as hell, Everlast also pissed off Slain by telling him to “shut the F-up I’m busy” and that soured their relationship and eventually crumbling the group.

He didn't have too many over the course of the 3 albums and the Legend EP....and Coka for that matter.....but literally all of them are good. Love me some D-Boy!

As a huge House of Pain fan and a huge La Coka Nostra fan....and I even had a friend who was a genius about pop culture and computers burn me a copy of the Ex-Supermodels EP....it actually really hurts me to know that Everlast and Danny Boy aren't really friends anymore.

I’m really impressed with Danny Boy. I only ever knew him as Everlast’s hype man. He’s way more than that. 👏
