  • So you’ve seen the Star Wars: Rebels Season Two Finale. You have LOTS of questions. More questions than answers, in fact. Well, here are some of your questions answered from Dave Filoni himself (executive producer), as well as Simon Kinberg (producer, writer), Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano) and Taylor Gray (voice of Ezra Bridger). This video contains the entire Q&A we witnessed at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA for the Finale of Star Wars: Rebels, Season 2. Moderating the Q&A was Amy Ratcliffe, writer for The Nerdist, starwars.com and podcaster on Full of Sith. It was her first time moderating an event like this and we think she did a great job!
SPOILERS AHEAD If you have not seen “Twilight Of The Republic”, turn back now!

I like Dave Filoni's comment in the beginning. While it's good to have darker and more serious story tones, Star Wars is ultimately suppose to be fun. Even Episode V has some fun moments within it.

+Tony Campuzzano Even Revenge of the Sith has some lighter moments, all of them at the start of the movie though

+Tony Campuzzano George Lucas confirmed that revenge of the sith was only rated pg-13 because of anikan being burned alive aside form that it would have still been rated PG like the other films. also let's face I the only reason revenge of the sith is dark is because some bad things had to happen in order for a new hope to make sense.

Dave Filoni is really funny. He's the best star wars director behind George Lucas.

George Lucas is anything but a good director. He ruined the prequels, and most people forget he didn't direct Episode 5, and co-directed Episode 6.

Than he is the best star wars director. I wish he would do the movies too.

+Fox Mulder He was forced to work with other people in that film. His original idea for Luke was a dude with a robot head, and Han was supposed to be an alien.

His original idea for Luke was a girl.

I was more captivated by this finale than I was in any of the clone wars, prequels or force awakens.

5:18 Filoni's idea to make the ending non-verbal
6:59 Filoni talking about audience interpretation about what they saw, and him funnily talking about how he specifically didn't have Vader decapitate her on-screen or have Ahsoka pick up a lothcat.
    9:28 Cloth constraints
    18:51 Ahsoka is Gandalf
19:59 'Let's have some more fun episodes - and we will - more Chopper and all of them'
    25:29 Ezra Bridger is ableist.

I'm actually pleased we didn't get any definite answers, even though I wouldn't be mad if we did. I really missed that feeling of excitement for something new, and Star Wars hadn't been releasing new stuff for quite a long time. It's like the old days of waiting for the prequels during what seemed like an eternity. :)
