Wow looking at these PRE-ML they are amazing! Especially for its time and still stands today. The details, sculpt, paint, articulation, range of motion. All mind blowing. Now a days we only get the sad standard 15 articulation while these had 40+ articulations! Wish hasbro would revisit and make figures like these again, just more proportioned.

I've always wanted that Smart Hulk figure. I could never find him. I can't wait for Marvel Legends to make the updated version. I understand them using the same buck over and over, but each Hulk version had different heights. I wish that variation could be present in the figures. Waiting for part 2. Take care, bro.
Yeah the new Grey Hulk has a killer head sculpt but he should not be as tall as the 80th anniversary Hulk.
I appreciate when people save their old figures and post pictures and videos especially with the side by sides of the new stuff. I sold a lot of mine over the years and continue to sell some off or break them up for customs, but I'm glad some people keep the museums going for us to look back on, thanks.
Man I hope in the near future we get a hulk wave or retro wave. I cant wait to get an updated professor hulk, planet hulk, gremlin, and more hulk characters.
I wouldn't care if they use the same body like maestro and the outback hulk body.
The Toy Biz Hulk Classics line released in 2003. It was to go along side as merchandise with the Hulk movie that was also released in theaters summer of '03. There was also a Hulk movie line Toy Biz did for the 2003 Hulk film.

See this is why I love this channel man. You really do know how to go in depth when it comes to the making and art of action figures. When I was growing up, Marvel Legends and side line with the “Classic’s” title was the norm for action figures. Being 21 now seeing these figures being compared brings back so much nostalgia man. This series is definitely one that I look forward to. From Hulk, X-men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man Classics, I look forward to you tackling them all man. Much respect Boog.

It's crazy to think about how all the preliminary Legends/Legends figures were $7.99. And thinking about how (pretty much) every figure had a completely new sculpt, and all those paint apps. Seemed like for ages they were that cost, until they jumped up to $10/12. Compared to many other things, action figure inflation went through the roof practically overnight.
I get plastic cost went up, but apparently paint cost too...but only for figs lol. For us middle aged kids, ToyBiz figs on the shelf wasn't _that_ long ago. I'm pretty surprised they've been $20 for so long. I don't know how the hell McFarlane can put out some stuff for under $16. I mean, some ppl just like that profit margin a little bit more than others.
Those were the golden age of collecting then never to return.
And I complained about the price back then too! Now I look back at some old emails and see how much I paid for a case of ML figs and it blows my mind!

Some of these old sculpts are unmatched, just can't do stuff like this with the homogenized lines and style. They each got that unique artists touch and personality and covered with paint. Some of that makes me think McFarlane might be the natural successor to Toybiz
That blob she hulk is still my favorite of her figures. As far as mecha hulk goes, we're getting the interchangeable head from Diamond.
Dag my Maestro Hulk also broke at the waist a couple months ago lol. Glad to see someone else in the same struggle. That’s a fire sculpt.
One thing you didn't mention with Mecha Hulk was that those shocks on the side of his neck move into the body when you tilt the head. It's my favorite feature of that fig.

I love this look back. It is amazing how well some of those old figs hold up. That mecha Hulk is NICE! And you got all that for under $10 -- crazy to remember those times. I know it's a lot of work, but I too echo the sentiment of those who would like to see more of these. Between the Retro Spidey review with the look back there, and this Hulkorama, we might need to start calling you Professor Boog since you dropping all that history knowledge!

Dude I remember going to KB toys and my grandma buying me a couples of these Hulk figures she got me Abomination and the Hulk with the pipe…damn man what a throw back. She’s passed away and I wish I still had these those figures :(

This video took me back. This hobby has turned into sneakers 2.0. I never find anything when I’m shopping. People who go from store to store who arent really shopping but scavenging, snatch it all up and put it on eBay for triple. Pre-orders sell out. So the options are to overpay or hope you can get a preorder. Makes me wonder if they’re limiting the product on purpose to ensure sellouts and build hype. Im kind of over it and I stopped keeping up with what’s coming out. If I see something that I like available, I’ll get it. Anyway, rant over. Cool video.
This was a real cool watch. I never had a ton of Hulk figures, but I remember seeing those Hulk Classics all the time. I kick myself for not grabbing them at the time.
Funny to think that ML series 1 Hulk is still one of the only ones that can do his sonic clap move because of those insane butterfly joints. To this day, I still put the Face-Off Hulk in the conversation for one of the best. That sculpt work and paint work is next level, just lackluster articulation.
I need to grab the newer two-pack with Wolverine. I got the red Hulk and he’s nice, but I need the classic look.

Its crazy how ppl know so much information about figures. I had figs growing up and I have been officially collecting since 2016 and I still don't know a lot of details about my figures...I just see them, like them, then buy them 😂
The Savage Hulk before it was released was originally alot larger to my memory, when I had got mine at KayBee I was confused!!!

16:20 Finally Boog as one of the Hulks I actually own. The neck on mine has a crack in it though, and the hands are rubber and not articulated (maybe a rerelease). Most of my Toybiz figures were from the Spiderman Animated line.
Hulk and Thing both had the straight non-articulated hands that were later updated as a running change if I remember correctly. I vividly remember trading and replacing a Thing figure with the articulated hands version. Still use the Coat and Hat from the Series II Variant to this day.
Also the neck on my old Hulk cracked too. RIP Jade Giant.

I worked at Toys R Us during Toy Biz's Marvel Legends run. Lot of memory caps popped open watching this video. They have a definitive buck for Hulk and She Hulk. So I think we're getting all the Hulks. BTW that 80th anniversary hulk looks like Jose Garcia Lopez's work from Batman vs Hulk. I've said this a few times but it bears repeating. I think going forward we're getting comic Gladiator Hulk, Composite Hulk, Kluh, Joe Fixit, Hulk 2099, Smart Hulk, Ultimate Hulk - we might even get Hulkverine.

You on fire with the videos! Hasbro, please use see through plastic for Bruce Banner's glasses when you decide to make & release a Bruce Banner ML figure for the love of mercy please! Lastly, my last challenge to you Hasbro is regarding the Hulk bulk that you are using: make a new upper torso/chest mold for Hulk with forward butterfly joints so the Hulk can do his famous thunder clap! I have no doubt that we will see alternate versions of She Hulk like in her Fantastic Four costume and her white and pink costume. Great video!

Great video, man! I didn't get into Legends until Hasbro stopped the Universe line so I missed all these. I picked up the A Force box set for She-Hulk and Captain Marvel. I really hope they give us a Banner. In fact, I'd like to see an entire wave of comic styled alter egos. Looking forward to the next part, man!

Smart hulk and war hulk were my favorite ones from that line (hulk transformations by toy biz) they were well sculpted and they had comic accurate accessories which is something that you hardly ever see now. That’s something that Hasbro can take a few cues from and make it the new standard for their figures going forward. One thing that line did AMAZINGLY was to make greatly sculpted hulk villains with comic accurate likenesses. That Bi Beast is unrivaled to this day! They have had the best absorbing man that any figure line has ever seen! The only thing that I didn’t really like was that they didn’t have good distribution for these figures in the stores. That’s why they hold value to this day because they were hard to come by especially as a set for each series. I still don’t know a single person who has that zzaxx figure or anyone who has ever seen it in the wild. That’s what makes these so desirable as well, that rarity. This was a great video and I am glad to see that someone showed this line a little bit of Love.

It's crazy to think that some of the old ToyBiz stuff is approaching two decades old. I still have War Hulk and Face-Off, still looking to add a few of these to the Hulk collection. Couple thoughts down below:

That Mecha Hulk is sweet. He has opening pecks for missiles didn’t it? I have two of those but not sure where I put them. I liked them as Hydra Dreadnoughts. Great vid! I really enjoyed these side lines. A figure I’d love but doubt it would happen. Banner with interchangeable pieces to show mid transformation. Kind of like the alt limbs Absorbing man got. Oh yeah, Thunderbolt Ross. Need that blow hard.

I’m thinking of getting the 2006 Maestro figure but the upper torso thing gives me pause, Shartamius Prime had a similar break in the exact same place. So is something common with all copies of the figure?
