I still watch it love it
Although I'm a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show, I'm not sure about Andy Taylor being the ideal father. He tended to tell a lot of lies throughout the show. I don't think an ideal father would lie at the drop of a hat.

If Andy and Barney were cousins, Andy would have been in violation of North Carolina nepotism laws.
I only watch the episodes with Barney. Andy became nasty and Helen was incorrigible

Andy didn't wear a gun because he said it weighed him down
Barney was from West Virginia.

When Francis ( Aunt Bea) died in Siler City, NC. She had about a hundred cats in her house. It must have smelled awful. She was a pure weirdo.
