Do you knownif a marshaltown durasoft handle will fit on a tyzak trowel or are tangs different diameters? I want to change the handle on my tyzak to a marshaltown durasoft as the tyzak has a shitty plastic bumper compared to the marshaltown. I don't want to removed the handle from an old marshaltown and then it being too big on the tang of the tyzak. Any help appreciated mate
If it is a little big u can glue it and if it’s too small you could drill it out and then glue that one. I can’t remember which ones bigger. They may be the same size. The w rose has a bigger diameter
Got the job done man amd went pretty well. The boiling water worked a treat. Took the durasoft from a narrow london 3311, now next I want a plastic handle put on the 331, but living nm ireland it's guna cost near 40 quid amd I'd buy a new trowel for near that price but I really like how the plastic handle is that bit narrower than the durasoft
Got a BON plastic handle as I couldn't get marshatown, want to put it on my 3311 marshaltown. I've removed the durasoft handle amd just offered up the BON handle it seems wide enough for the trowel but the hole in the handle doesn't seem deep enough for where I'd like it to sit on the trowel it need to be another 8mm deeper 😂 my question is would you shorten the steel part if the trowel or chance drilling a bit more into the handle 🤔🤔🤔 but then I'm thinking maybe the plastoc will soften up when it's heated amd maybe it'll slide up woth soke persuasion as the hole goes from around 12mm to 6mm in the handle
I probably shorten the tang of the trowel. You may need glue to keep the Bon handle on the marshalltown, I’m not sure try without first. Good luck Dylan

I remove the durasoft and put wooden handles on. Cant be doing with the numb feel of the plastic ones

They are very comfortable and don’t get ruined in the bad weather
