  • It Finally Drives! I've been fighting corrupted video files, I fixed as much as I could but there are random black screens in the vid.

Pretty impressed with what you've done so far! I know this is an old video but looking at a couple more recent vids, didn't see these had changed.
    A few things I noticed:
That breather cap on the passenger valve cover is not a PCV valve. It's just another vented breather cap but instead of being open at the outer edge radially, like the driver one, it feeds through a nipple. It's just sucking a ton of air which is why it won't idle easily and runs rough. Need to put in a proper PCV valve or just plug that port off on the carb and run open crankcase for the time being. Any 90* pcv valve from a late 60s or early 70s model car will do the trick. May need a grommet for it too?
Fords run ported vacuum on the distributor advance, unless it has an EGR system then they ran a dual advance/retard setup.
Put at least a good 1/4" tall bead of silicone (prefer Permatex "Right Stuff" only for this task) on those china rails at each end of the intake.
Not sure if you are going to put headers on it later on or not, but many other cheap options for a better fitting driver's side manifold. Not sure where these are from, would guess an 80s or 90s Crown Vic, Lincoln, or Merc? The exit dump is just terrible and in the way. Many others that point downward just below the #7 port that will work sooooo much nicer for you. Look at trucks and vans, most with 351Ws, but some 302s as well were like this. 70s/80s/and some 90s models.
Doing a pretty darn good job, keep it up!

Thank you for the Info. Yea I have had quite a hard time finding correct info on the pcv valve and what goes where. Very Helpful!
