    Great arm, quick feet, quick release. I got 1.90 for one and he was averaging around a 1.95 or just below 2. Solid player.

    The sound of the ball hitting the mitt is he best sound in the world.

    As catcher he has a lot of potential. Hitting could improve. Close stance a little and stride more!

    • @ThaBuddhaMan
      @ThaBuddhaMan 7 лет назад +1

      i agree. for a young kid real good behind the plate but his hitting just looks a little wonky but he has some quick hand which is always good.

    • @akaangels3928
      @akaangels3928 7 лет назад

      Cade Williamsen for catching he needs to keep his hand behind his glove when blocking otherwise he is great

    • @joshhill8241
      @joshhill8241 7 лет назад +2

      He does not nessiscarily need to stride or close his stance some of the better players now tend to have an open stance with little to no stride

    • @cjpatterson1281
      @cjpatterson1281 7 лет назад +1

      Cade Williamsen you don't stride out when your batter that messes up timing don't talk when you don't know your shit

    • @StealthNinjaPie
      @StealthNinjaPie 7 лет назад

      Um most batters stride out at least a little. That doesn't mean you lunge at the ball, but you want to stride out so that you have room to transfer your weight forward into the ball.

    If I was a college coach, I would want him on my team. If he can handle academics and athletics, take challenging courses to get his 3.7, and hit and catch the way he does, he'll be an asset to any team as a student-athlete for real. The mechanics suggestions are true, but he has a good base for any coach in college to develop. If he can learn how to hit with wood, I see no reason why he can't make the pros.

    • @GITMmusic
      @GITMmusic 7 лет назад +5

      Ilya Zhitomirskiy small, average mechanics for a high school player, doesn't look like a 1.9 pop to me but he's definitely accurate and if they get him on the gun at 88 like the stats say it does then he should end up at s decent school, kinda weird they didn't post his BA or anythingGot some work to do on his hitting. A lot of kids get taught to squish the bug when they're young like he does, but if you watch the bigs you'll see most guys driving forward with their hips and feet, as you're gonna get a lot more power. This is all just in regards to pro statement, you never know, but it isn't likely. I'm sure he'll get in somewhere and good luck to him

      @@GITMmusic pop is definitely sub 2 and accurate but his receiving (at least as far as I can tell from the limited footage) and swing are subpar

    Very clean all the way around and great tools to work with here. As a coach this is the type of base I look for to further develop a player at the next level. There will always be those young baseball critics that will argue as to how to catch, throw and hit. It's either "he's not on the balls of his feet" to "he looks like his back foot is not balanced in his dab swing"... These are ALL things that will be developed at the next level.

    I like the high leg kick on the swing it's turning into the new thing but you want to be consistent with it sometimes you will raise it fast and then next time a little slower just get more consistent with it to have better timing and look great behind the plate good feet and arm a little thing though is you like to close your glove before you catch the ball then reopen it eliminate less movement

    His right hand is always out infront ( not a good thing ) its small things like that, that is the difference between D1 and other schools
    The hand should be behind you, even during practice, to replicate a game-like situation. And if you have your hand out during the game like that then please enjoy having broken fingers in higher tier play

  • @jameson1673
    @jameson1673 5 лет назад

    he is good but when the ball is bunted he NEEDS to go through the right batters box in order to stay slightly farther behind the runner to avoid interferance, he needs to cut down a little bit on the leg kick and he messed up while blocking/picking up the ball BECAUSE he needs to scoop up the ball w/ his mitt and hand to get the ball secured and ready to throw properly im 12 and i know this stuff

  • @exesquad-rr3gu

    Don’t bring your leg up so far just take a jab step and rotate your hips for your power and keep your hands closer to your chest in your swing it keeps the sweat spot if the bat on line with the ball longer and you’ll have more power pushing the bat through than pulling

    A few things, 1. Extremely good blocking ability but a catcher should never use his arms to get up after a block, it should be all legs. 2. Frames need some work I could tell you struggle on framing low pitches even tho none we’re thrown to you based on the stiff elbow and arm. 3. Hitting was good mechanically you were nice but watch the ball leave the bat it would increase your time out of the box.. you look good buddy

    Why is he almost sitting when he is just catching but on the blocks he is up more

      Roger Gunshot well that drill still shows nothing since he knows it will be in the dirt, but in a game you won't know where the ball will be

      It shows form but who cares about form if you don't have the reaction time to block in a game

      DarkSoldier lol guys. They showed this drill to show his technique for blocks in front and too the side. To show how he rounds the corners and if he's softening the ball well. It's extremely important. Albeit he has work to do on turning his corners

    You have a complete different stance when you are blocking the balls you need to practice it your regular stance

    Sometimes I hate recruiting videos because they're only when the players are really trying. Like how do you know if the players are gonna work that hard or even try in a game or practice. They just don't make sense to me

      Most of the people who make these videos have the dedication and passion and want to make it far with the game! He is a great defensive catcher!

      Volbeat101 I think that part of the point for these is to gain attention not necessarily a scholarship. One of the boys on my high school team had a pretty successful video and the college that he ended up going to on scholarship didn't offer that scholarship because of the video, they saw him play on the video and then decided he was worth a look so at the next showcase he attended they paid specialized attention to him, and that's where he ended up with his scholarship.
