@Mandz race permeates all layers of our lives whether you believe it or not. We aren’t equal in America based on race and the funds that are allocated to certain racial communities, the disparity of killings by police, inequalities in justice system, inequities in health care, unemployment, housing etc prove that, maybe you go through live without thinking about your race whatever yours is, but for many of us minorities in America our race is constantly reminded to us by others and we can’t escape being judge as a monolith while whites get judges on a case by case basis

@Mandz its true race has nothing to do with Erika's issues however they're are uncomfortable racial moments this season because a lot of the white ladies seem to feel uncomfortable with garcelle being nonwhite and you can see it in the way race has come up so many times when in the past when the cast was fully white it almost never did so clearly they "see" race. The poster up there was praising her for being a strong black woman because in this country being a minority isn't easy so when we see minorities weathering a racial storm we praise them because we know it isn't easy and its draining

Both were horrible. Racism that is spoken of in this country is not only of the past but is alive and well today and that is why we cannot move on. What would make Lisa Rinna think she would get a free invite to a Elton John concert? Who does Rinna think she is? And then she throws it in Sutton's face and it turns out Sutton paid for their tickets. Rinna has got an enormous pair of balls.
I think there is no storey line with Rena anymore, will not be surprised to see her booted to the curb where she belongs.

There is a distinct difference between the RHOBH levels of rich between rhose ladies.
Sutton is classy enough to buy whole tables at Galas and invite friends to it and offering to provide a cushion to a friend going through a hard time. Even though said friends are ungrateful and unclassy.
Then you have the Erika and Lisa sorta rich. Wanna be rich who care more about spending other ppl's money and pretending it's theirs. While Erika boasts not having heard of "small town" Sutton in her "country club". That's still a whole lot better than being known as a thief or a thief's wife and conning ppl out of millions.
Yes some are only pretend and a few are the real deal.

Well said. It’s “rich” and “wealth”. I would say Kathy and Sutton are the latter, both very smart women so it was Erika who was intimidated by Sutton to call her ‘small town’ because Sutton is way more than Erika could ever pretend to be. I also lost some respect for Kathy when she talked negatively about Sutton saying “it doesn’t really matter” - if we are being completely honest, she only did the show to clean her name from the Paris documentary which put her in a bad light. She’s cunning and knows exactly what she’s doing.

It's SO sad how heartless some people are, taking money from the loss of deceased, to live the life fantastic. I firmly believe she knew where the money came from. And it saddens me how she treats her "friends". She thinks she's better than Sutton. Sad. Erika will get what she deserves.

I don’t understand why these ladies feel like they can only show compassion to someone when they have a breakdown or cry or show that level of vulnerability. Why don’t you believe Garcelle when she says she FEELS like an outsiders. As true friends shouldn’t be the response be ‘how can we change that, what can I do to help you feel more welcome and a part of the group?’ Lisa and Dorit are honestly not good friends or their gaslighting is for the ratings.

When Romana called her staff “the help” it was frowned upon. But Kathy referring to one of her staff as “the lady” is funny and accepted? The double standards on this network is undeniable. Kathy’s wealth and eliteness really gives her favor.
I believe she said her name but they muted it. Those people do not ask to be shown on TV so I believe she did that to hide “the lady’s” identity. I could respect that.
Kathy is so overrated she is an entitled, out of touch and frankly useless woman. This whole ditz image is an act just like her daughter to make her more likeable. Great observation about it taking Garcelle being pushed to an emotional breakdown for them to show her any sincere concern, or compassion. Dorit is insufferable! I can’t stand any of her scenes or dialog. Maybe fame changed her? I just know she’s progressively becoming more pompous & self-righteous by the day. I can’t take another season of her!

As a black women in her 60's there have been so many occasion when I have wanted to cry, but didn't, wanted to snap but couldn't because I needed to keep my job. If I want to cry, I'm going to. Self awareness and emotional awareness is very empowering especially as a grown woman. IJS

A few weeks back in the season I was NOT a Sutton fan. What stopped me & made me realize what a great person she is was the fact that she truly wanted to help Erica. I know what it’s like to divorce a wealthy man with more power than myself & I didn’t have not 1 friend step up to help me financially at all. They were there for me when I had a private plane and trips. So when she did that for Erica I was just like that woman knows what a hard road is in front of Erica. She had my heart since then.

She offered and thank goodness Erika said no. Then she started to ask questions and her ex husband most likely told her that they both were in bad shape financially and legally. Now we all know Sutton was correct.
