Meredith is becoming one of my favorite housewives across the entire Real Housewives franchises. I just love the way she defends her son.

No one should be forced to come out. I've known since the age of 3, and I suppressed it until after Ellen came out. I was 30 as I decided to F it all. The only downside was that Dad didn't talk to me for a year. He thought I was going through a phase. We shared the love of antiques, and it broke my heart because he died 4 years afterwards. I did take the chance to march in the NY City Pride parade in the Summer of '98 with the Southern Tier AIDS Program. I wore my Skaneateles Lake t-shirt to represent my Finger Lakes roots (born in Ithaca and raised on the southern end of Skaneateles Lake in the Town of Scott/Homer/Glen Haven, NY). I also marched in DC's Millennium March in 2000 with Amnesty International & the Human Rights Campaign. LGBTQ covers the entire spectrum (even those who are Republican ;) Unfortunately, cyber bullying is one of the downsides. People who do that need to get a Life to say the least. Keep on keeping on

I would also look to my mother in a public forum for advice on how to proceed. Note - we would not be talking about either of them (Brook or his mom) had they had not featured themselves on RHOSLC. In normal life I would agree with you for sure, but you can't leverage your family or yourself for fame and fortune then be upset when people want to know more about you, particularly as it relates to identity and transparancy about a topic (being gay) that is relevant to a large fanbase on the channel you are featured on.

Nobody should comment on Brooks sexuality but he can comment on your friends vagina on TV? As an adult man he’s accountable for his behaviour too and commenting on Jen’s vagina is not ok. I would be mortified if I was his mother. Not once has Meredith said it wasn’t ok. The fact this is her biggest storyline is a bit sad. I don’t tune in to watch someone’s son behave like a brat and talk about women’s vaginas.

Meredith is 100% right…. Brooks isn’t obligated to come out to anyone for any reason. It’s his journey and his choice alone. As someone who struggled with coming to terms with my sexuality it can be a really difficult thing to talk about even when your surrounded with tons of love and support.
