Dhap Dam Hiking Vlog | Best Hiking place near Kathmandu | Viral dam | Shivapuri National Park

This video is a one day hiking vlog to Dhap Dam. Dhap Dam is a human made Dam. Dhap Dam is a concrete faced rockfill dam located in Kathmandu District, Bagmati Province of Nepal. The main objective of the Dhap Dam Project is to enhance water resources and increase water discharge to the Bagmati river in the dry season. We have started our Hike from Sundarijal Kathmandu. Sundarijal is about 12 km from Chabahil Kathmandu. You will also get a public bus from Chabahil to Sundarijal. From Sundarijal It’s about 12 km by hiking trail to reach Dhap Dam and about 20 km by vehicle. It took us about four hours to reach Dhap Dam and three hours to return . This is a very adventurous hike. We also get opportunity to eat berries and other fruits available in the forest. The beauty of the Rhododendron can't explained in words. The Dhap dam itself is very beautiful and eye-catching. In summary, this is one of the best hikes I ever did. After completion of the hike we have also visited Boudda Stupa located at Boudha Kathmandu.
