- Thought it would be nice to create this POV video to give you a guys an idea of what it's like to daily my stage 3 500bhp MK7 Golf R. The tune was done by VRS in Northampton and I'm running a hybrid turbo, r600 air intake, wagner front mount intercooler, scorpion decat downpipe and a straight-through exhaust system.

Can't argue with it being a perfect all rounder and mpg is amazing for the power. No need for a strong heavy clutch like in a manual or easy daily
I have a B5.5 turbo passat, I had an exhaust dump, it had to be no more than 6-7 feet of exhaust, cranked her up everyday at 7AM sounding like a garbage truck. I could definitely live with a straight piped Golf R. This is my dream car! I will obtain one, one day 🥹. Might start with a GLI and work my way up we’ll see. Love your content!

Such a sick car. Golfs have never really been “quick” cars until this one. Mk5 gtis also seeing 400/500 but yeah not the same grip and drive.
They’re rapid too so no idea what you’re really on about. My octavia vrs at stage 1 300ish bhp does 100-200kmh in 12 secs about the same as an evo etc and i think faster than a stock golf r

I seem to get about 18mpg out of mine. Mines a 7.5 529hp - 640nm. I live in the country and make the most of it. Personally I run only on Esso 99. Apparently it's the only fuel that has no bioethanol in even though it says E5.

Couldn’t live with that noise day to day . Spend the extra money and get a BCS Powervalve exhaust . I have a stage 3 devil developments golf r with BCS turbo back and best of both worlds . I’m From Wolverhampton so you’re not to far from me 😉

My only concern with running that amount of power is lag. What's the turbo lag like in a DSG? Presuming it properly down shifts anyway so you're not really going to notice it much, but when you plant your foot, how long does it take to spool and take off essentially?
There is a fair amount of lag, best to keep higher up in the rev range 3-3500 seems to be where a lot of the power comes from and fairly quickly

Pirelli are absolutely 💩 once you try the michelins you will think why didn’t I try sooner.. my screen never leaves the oil temperature no hard acceleration until 80 degrees and shutting off the engine has to be 100 degrees or below. My car is also permanently in race mode no fannying about with changing modes, 90% of the time I’m in manual, TVS tcu tune is amazing,light throttle sensible driving as a daily a stage 3 is no different driving wise to when mine was standard, I went standard to stage 3 in one go. Sorry but I couldn’t put up with the gash exhaust sound. For the money love em or hate em the golf is a superb all rounder a good bang for your buck.

I like it when fast cars are rolling around town but this was a little dissattisfying. It takes so long for it to get warm and then its actually mental, but for everyday driving and living in the city you're working in, the car wont ever get warm before you get there

Your so worried about oil temp befor booting it . But pops and bangs do engine damage. Most good tuners will not put pops and bangs because it causes compression within the exhaust system whitch can cause engine failure

Great car mods but honestly, I feel sorry for your neighbors that have to deal with that pretty annoying sound everyday. Agree with 27badwoy, get a Powervalve exhaust system! Amazing. And you won't look like a 16 years old kid trying to make as much noise as possible to annoy his parents!
Great footage and got to respect the performance of a 500bhp golf, but totally agree with your comment on exhaust noise. Obnoxious exhaust noise is pretty anti social to everyone else.
I think I'm just trying to take a different approach with the custom 3.5 inch straight-through system, it makes tunnel blasting so much fun and I try not to start my car too early in the mornings aha!
I recently bought a polo GTi and can see it goes up to temp 90° after like 3-5 mins driving, why does yours take so long?
It goes up quicker depending on tune, set up & how hard/light you’re being on the throttle etc

@@theray243 Mine has a total of 90k now but recently had a new engine fitted. Had a new clutch too. Best to definitely keep on top of yours DSG services and haldex :)

M140i is better. Much more fun to drive, a lot quicker, more reliable, etc. The only downside to m140i is it's rwd, which can be a problem in the uk.
Its worse. Its not as practical, its not a fast because. Of the rwd. Reliability is not anything better at all, its a complicated engines with alot of things that can go bad.
@@dennis-br6vr It’s much more reliable lol. Look it up. The b58 isn’t actually complicated, it’s just very well made. It’s referred to at the modern day 2jz for a reason 😂🤦♂️. And it is faster lol, that’s not debatable. You’re only gonna struggle for traction if the roads are absolutely drenched. With PS4’s on all tires it’s better handling than any golf r. I would also say it’s more practical and it’s also cheaper than a golf r. You can pick m140i’s up for around £20,000 nowadays, which is a steal. I recommend you go and do your research lol. And btw, I’ve had both cars, so I know what I’m talking about.

Reliability is down to each car mine apart from the common water pump has been 99% solid in over 4 years. Quicker yeah but this is running 500 so it's hardly slow
If I went bmw I'd have to go with a 340i or 540i with the xdrive as there's something not right with the looks on the 1 series for me
@@gaznelson8615 rwd is way more fun. Much more of a drivers car. It not for everyone I guess, you have to be competent at driving for rwd. Everyone's granny could drive xdrive car. Boring as hell imo.
