I know a girl whose father is a multimillionaire. She wears branded clothes from time to time but nothing ostentatiously expensive. The fun thing about her is, she wears clothes from the local store and markets mostly. Stuff that any girl in the neighbourhood can afford. She always has hundreds of thousands of dollars in her account but chooses basic clothing and buys them in bulk during sale. I think it’s an old money vs new money idea. She is 4th generation wealthy so has nothing to prove. She looks for colour and quality mostly.

I wore alot of Ralph Lauren blue label in high school & college; It's a overall really cool & elegant brand. Now a days i wear alot of there purple label clothes & i have to say they're truly timeless designs.
I’ve always invested in dress shoes. My favorite is Ferragamo’s. They are super comfortable and the last forever. I’ve had some shoes for over 30 years. Once in a while they need need new heels of sole. Well constructed shoes can be easily repaired by a cobbler. Some people at work wear fancy clothes but wear cheap shoes that fall apart in a few months.

I actually worked for Hart or HSM when in college. You left out Brooks Brothers which is an entry level long standing company. Also how about Armani which is the most recent purchase for me. How about Saville Row in London which is what 007 wore. Another of my UK favorites is Burberry with my woolen slacks. I also have a secret place I have bought from - TheRealReal, where I recently purchased that Armani blazer for the unbelievable price of under $40! Yes it was previously worn but from the iconic Barney's of NYC.
I’m baffled why no fabric mill or tailoring house wasn’t mentioned. Reda VBC Fox Brothers Harrison’s Guabello Dormeuil Maison Corthay St Crispins surely are worn by the Money 💴 Monsters.
@@lindberghwesley Totally agree. The majority of the wealthy don't buy off the rack. Saville Row is tailored. And the ones you mentioned. Wake up ALUX!
Agree with Brooks Brothers and J Crew is there with RL. Saville Row isn’t a brand it is a street where all the best Bespoke Shops are. And yes - those are worth a mention if not their own video.
As I became richer, I started to shop at Primark, Uniqlo, etc. Basically I will buy anything that has value and milk them to the end. And the validation of others mean less and less as my bank account numbers go up.
I love how alux goes back to its original luxury content but it just amplifies its overall ethos that you work on yourself for you Mentally physically socially and career wise 😊 thank you ALUX 😊
I really think that it depends on your level. I think that when you’re nouveau riche you tend to be more aggressive towards flashing brands. When the dust settles and you calm down you will par with more simply styles and techniques. In example- rappers and athletes who get that first real taste of money are out here in LV and pushing Bugatti while Warren Buffet is driving a late model Car from the late 90s. Excellent video as always and ever so informative
Look at how the typical billionaire dresses compared to rappers. They are not flashy. Mark zuckerberg wears the same stuff everyday. Mark Cuban would be perfectly happy with a Mavericks t-shirt and jeans (he owns the team). Elon musk…leather jacket, t-shirt, jeans. I believe Steve Jobs was a billionaire and he dressed very plainly too. People with real money don’t really give a shit. They don’t need status symbols and they won’t be impressed by someone’s louis vuitton handbag. Just buy quality clothes that fit , are comfortable, and will last. Sperry shoes, knitted polo shirts, sturdy oxfords, barbour jackets if you live in the country, etc. If you have money to splurge then maybe some cashmere sweaters. It’s more important if people like you as a person and want to be around you than what you are wearing. I’d rather buy fewer but higher quality which saves me money in the long run then I can save and invest more money. I’m pretty frugal anyway.
Also a lot of my polo shirts from ralph lauren and vinyard vines actually came from second hand used clothes stores because someone in my family saw them and thought i would like them. Most of my clothes are quite old.

I know this isn't a very sexy subject, but there are a lot of us out there just like that, who've spent decades listening to others with higher incomes tell us "It's just your attitude, you just didn't work hard enough, plan well enough etc. etc. Facing old age in poverty despite a lifetime of hard work and effort to avoid it, is not for sissies. 🤕

Are you serious? This is the only video that I disagree with Alux. People who know the true cost behind H&M and Zara would never buy anything from these fast fashion brands. Buying clothes from these 2 brands shows that you don’t have class. After discovering that fast fashion brands have done so many evil things, I stopped buying clothes from them.
