      Hi, make sure you breath out through your nose the whole way through the turn....no water up your nose then

    • @trykozmaksym
      @trykozmaksym 6 лет назад +5

      Get used to being underwater on your back and slowly exhaling through your nose. Don't start practicing flip-turns before you get comfortable in that position.

    How would you get more air, every time I do one, I have to lift my head up before the wall...

    How to breathe during turn?

  • @nonsense7535
    @nonsense7535 5 лет назад

    At the beginning, butterfly kick and raise up your head a little bit are the most important momentum to turn flip, then the second, while your head is at the lowest position under water, straight up your waist, turning your legs to the back, to maintain the momentum for scrawling, so you'll accomplish turnning flip so easily!

    Should or should not hands be helping in rotation? She doesn't fold enough, loses momentum and lifts her head long before the rotation is finished and then - starts helping herself with hands...

    Is it normal to get exhausted easily when doing flip turns versus not doing? Or am I doing it wrong? Also I breathe out during the flip because if I don't, water usually goes into my nose. Is that OK?

    • @SikanaEnglish
      @SikanaEnglish  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the question. For the most effective flip turn, you want to try and inhale just before you turn and keep your breath held during the turn until you it is completed, you have push off and resume swimming in the other direction. We know this is hard since it requires good breathing control and the timing to get your last inhalation just before your flip turn. That said, if the water going up your nose is proving to be a real problem then you will have to practice breathing our through your nose as you are doing your flip turn. Practice both techniques: holding your breath completely, or breathing our during the turn and see which one you prefer better! Try it slowly and keep practising with different distances until you get it right every time. Use the lane markers on the bottom of the pool to help you get your bearings! Let us know if this helps you, we'd be so glad to hear it!
