Just received my delivery of pack 1 stages 1-4 of the 917kh! Yay! After watching your channel for a number of years I’ve finally taken the plunge and entered the Partworks Cosmos! Thanks Wayne for all you do! BFN David
Oh my dear friend the legendary Porsche 917K lemans the jewel in the crown 👑 movie of my favorite star Steve Mqueen amazing scale model oh you are incredible to show your creativity in your hands in making such a car 🏵🏆🥇👍👌💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
My father was VP for Gulf Oil public relations when they did Steve McQueen's movie. I'm certain we never met Steve. I'm also certain we were in the pits when they ran these Porsches on a track near LA. We all had Gulf racing wind breakers to wear at the race. My dad's is all that is left. He must have been awful round then 'cause it fit me when I wore it to photograph the last car show here in town. I'm powerful likely to do up my next Camaro in Gulf livery.
Received my 1st pack Monday morning, and for some strange reason got 2 no.2 mags, and 1 each of no.3 and no.4 but missing no.1 mag!! Got in touch with them and they're sending me no.1 mag asap!
Observations on building 917KH Pack 1 - Stages 1 -4 : 1. Enjoyed putting it all together - took about an hour overall. Looking forward to Pack 2! Quality of the parts is very good. Mostly metal! 2. The tyres are rigid plastic rather than rubber - was a little disappointed at first, but thinking on - racing car tyres were often inflated to high pressures, so probably not unrepresentative. The wheel is heavy - 149g. 3. Fitting the left headlight (chrome) trim (1E) into the headlight housing (1D) was an absolute pain - the fit was tight and difficult, but got it in eventually. 4. The transmission seal (4E) fixing to the gearbox housing (4A) - is it supposed to rotate ? 5. Suspension hub carrier (3K) - fitting to upper and lower swing arms (3A & 3I) - will need oiling as they are stiff.
Hey again Wayne! There has been some concern about shipping delays from IXO. I ordered the first 3 boxes on 11/7/21. Received them here in Charleston SC ON 11/12/21. Enjoyed watching the videos on the first 6 boxes. Hope to see more on this build very soon.
Thanks Wayne that is one beautiful car I ordered it straight away after the stream last Thursday it's going to look amazing next to the Ford GT40, and also what a terrific compliment to the build giving away a free 1/8 figurine, worth it just for that 👏👏
I had one as a child too - although I believe it was actually CORGI (no.385) not Dinky, and was of the LH (long-tail) variant rather than the KH (short-tail) variant, in 1/43 scale. Mine came painted in a metallic dark blue with yellow windows, rather than these colours. Oh, the nostalgia.....

Your tires will look more real if you sand the treads. Same goes for the brake discs but chuck them into a drill and hold the sandpaper against the friction surfaces while spinning. It will look "brilliant". The brown part is half of a ZF transmission. Your engine block will look like a brown rectangular box and attach at the back to the ZF.
The part you added to the transmission needs a quarter tern and the wheel is just like the 205 and the ecto1.🛠🛠🛠🤔🤔🤔 Loving the start of this model. Stay safe all.

All these models come in over £1000
Actually you started building the transaxle not the engine.
Guess your terminator pack 11 didn't arrive you did say Monday so maybe Tuesday
Yep. Probably tomorrow now. Still hasn't arrived
@@WorldofWayneUK I got my pack 10 of Agora models build the terminator I'm paying for pack 11 Wednesday so close to finishing it
Pity though they didn't translate the magazines from French to English just as well we have Google translate
They are in the process of doing it like they did for the Peugeot
@@WorldofWayneUK I see I wonder if they'll resend out the magazines that are in french
KH????? I know of the 917K the 917L and the 917LH but what is the 'KH'? The McQueen car was a 917K.
THE 1970'S were KH. All the history is here automobilist.com/porsche-917-kh-enduring-legend-of-past-and-future
Ooo a new car, this makes the Ferrari look cheap and tacky, a true connoisseur would buy this instead of the Ferrari.
Love the new kit. Would have to "ruin it" with a repaint to a street version of an exotic sports car- the racing color scheme just doesn't do it for me...
Far too many cars now on your channel
It's just the way things have panned out. I have bismarck, spitfire, zero and Terminator all waiting to go but I fell behind with the f40 and Eleanor so they will be up in the next couple of days.
Too many car builds. Yawn.
They are actually my most watched vids you won't like this week then. It's car week
