Jasper, you're a magician! This FV looks just like out of the production. It's clear that you have a passion for restoring old timers. Cool that you're making a living out of it too. Beautiful work, hands down. Bravo!
My uncle worked for Mallory ignitions and Chrysler and sometime in the late 1950s he visited us in an HK500. I got to go for a ride and was stunned at what could be done with a Chrysler engine! That car had a 4-speed Pont-à-Mousson manual gearbox and was blindingly fast for the time. Thanks for letting us have a close look at the II.
I worked in a parking garage when I was younger and had the pleasure of driving a facel vega I nearly every week whilst it was parked up by the owner . He asked I take it for a short drive once a week. It was racing green and a real beast. Absolutely stunning.
Roughly fifteen years ago, my neighbor a few doors down - who owned a '66 C2 427 - had a friend who drove a '59 HK500. I treasured every moment that glorious brute trundled past my window, with 383 cubic inches of sheer acoustic exuberance. Thanks for the moment to reminisce...

Now I could afford one at that price but it's too late, values have climbed so high I'll never be able to own one. Sigh.

Pietervdv Wouldn't bother me, especially since this is no doubt a far more civilized car to drive than those two.
I'd give my left arm for either one of them, to be honest.
Pietervdv Good luck driving such a thing with one arm... Haha.
