From Ohio, but graduated from Jackson State. Didn't play, but just a band fan. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see Wilberforce show out! Looking good 👍🏾
I honestly never heard of this band before but I’m from Florida. Honestly they sound great will definitely be checking them out again, was not expecting them to sound like that
random comment but that picc and that trumpet crab wanna b seen so bad lol everybody else got on full length shorts they said nope...these cakes gone cake today! lmao #deduction
Most likely they have a coach or coordinator that may have come from there. You should take it as a compliment that people take what they've learned at one school and spread it to teach others. The same with various dance squads. Surely you don't expect everyone that went to Jackson to only stay at Jackson, right? Lol I'm sure you would prefer their influence to be spread around. That's what the term _influence_ is lol😁
You must be a high schooler... HBCU band culture has survived the generations due to their influences on each other. If one school has elements of another school, it's either because of admiration, competitiveness, and/or their director came from another HBCU and adapted the style from their institution. Hope this helps.
@@solidrock7998 I am far from a high schooler. I am one that has plenty of hours in battle and one that values legacy and originality. It’s alright for high schools to copy universities but when one university copies another it is lame in my opinion. Especially a fellow hbcu band. 🤦🏽♂️
I like the band sound but drum majors please be original. Get your own style ie. FAMU, Alabama State, Southern, Jackson State, Grambling State, Norfolk State. Everyone else is copying.
