It brought a big smile to my face seeing this grown man explain in detail what every toy did, where they came from, etc. Remembering all that, all these years later… shows how special they are to us growing up
@@1962underdog It's hard to seperate mid 80s-90s toys from the stories/cartoons/games etc they were based on, like TMNT for example, especially if you were a child back then. In reality though most of it was what my father called "cheap plastic crap" at the end of the day. Still, so many long lasting titles came out or were revamped during that 20ish year span compared to post-war lead up and the twenty or so years afterwards it blows my mind. It was literally the renaissance period for practically every form of modern entertainment.
He speaks as if he is 13 again and can remember exactly how he packed up everything. Even before you open up the smaller boxes inside the bigger box he knows exactly what is inside. That is impressive. They may just be toys but to this guys it’s literally a symbol of the good times of childhood. I think Everyone can relate to that feeling.
I can understand why that guy wanted his well loved toys to go to someone that would appreciate them as he right in saying the kids of today are not interested in those kind of toys and we live in a throw away world so things like toys are not so precious these days. Was great to see the love in your eyes and demeanour for them. Great video thanks a lot 👍
I'm amazed at how much some kids took care of their toys. I didn't destroy my toys, but I definitely lost accessories and got them dirty. Very nice collection!
Most of mine disappeared. I guess my dad got rid of them. I have some toys my father had when he was a kid in the 1940’s But I have some TMNT and Heman at my mothers house in a tote. It’s cool to look at them brings back memories.

Yeah. I lost so many. Obviously we grow up and don’t play with toys, but they were cool and they bring back memories. I was lucky and had some awesome ones, a few in this video i had, but all gone. Disappeared into the ether. I wouldn’t want them now I’d sell them. But it’s a shame. Some are valuable. Sell them and let someone else enjoy them and the memories. I had a few of the transformers, the green ones, and I had that big black G.I. Joe jet that was dope.
It's crazy how much of this nostalgia that you've managed to find. I do the same thing here in Vancouver, Canada, but it's hard to find big collections like that. Love the videos. I've watched everything you've done and it's amazing how much you've grown the business and what you've accumulated.

Anthony, you have an amazing understanding of the process. Some run ads and do other things to spend money to get the word out that they buy vintage toys and then beat up sellers and their toys to just buy it as low as possible. Your advertising is treating sellers with respect and working with them. Every buyer and their dog on RUclips says never ever ever make the first offer. You are comfortable and confident that you can make an appropriate first offer. Doing that is really hard, but you make look easy. Congrats on being the one that he called to buy his collection.

Wow! What a pickup! Brings back memories! That Kenner knight rider talking KITT car was one of my favorites from my childhood. Unfortunately when I moved out of the house my mom sold it at a garage sale for a whopping $5. Of course I was not happy about it but she figured I was too old to want it. I ended up sourcing one complete with the original box with instructions on eBay years back and can’t believe what it goes for these days! 80’s toys were the best period!
So much of this haul brings me back to the late 80's and early 90's. I still have alot of those GI Joes, and a couple of the vehicles too. Thanks for taking us all back to memory lane. Fantastic content!

This brought back some fond memories followed by disappointment in myself for being dumb and giving all my awesome toy's away to my younger cousins when I started hitting my teenage years. I would of had some big bucks. I was a weird kid that really took care of his toy's and didn't lose most the accessories and even went as far as washing my tonkas which I actually do still have. My grandparents every Christmas from like the age of 2 or 3 would buy a new tonka for my collection to put under the tree until I had all of them. They're mint and packed away at parents place. Had some cool stuff being 80's kid. Now in my 40's this has me wanting to collect some of my old toys like my mask collection, he man, gi joe,transformers,centurions, ninja turtles, hot wheels sets, and more.

What a great haul! This was the time period when my youngest sibling was a kid, so a lot of these toys are very familiar to me. I wasn't always thrilled to play with them back when I was a kid, but seeing them now is definitely nostalgic---especially that M.A.S.K. Hurricane. Thanks for taking us along!

Those GI Joe vehicles brought back A LOT of memories. Loved the Night Raven and Rolling Thunder growing up. And saw the Dark Tower in a previous video; another old mindworm just nesting inside my brain. Couldn’t tell you its name, just that I could remember its profile and playing it before being turned onto D&D. And also, mad love for offering $1500, getting the $1700 counter, with him being on the verge of cutting his own price down when you came in and noted the reason you were silent was because you were running the math in your head and came to $2000. Nice to see someone not controlled exclusively by the dollar.

I once had a Gatchaman God Phoenix 2 and the combiner from the sequel. I somehow picked them up when I was very young in the UK and to this day I have no idea how because I wasn't old enough to know or find anywhere major enough to have stocked imports. They seem to go for a lot these days but sadly long since gone from my possession!
That little baseball helmet jogged my memory of some ice cream store that used to serve kids sundaes in various MLB team helmets and the kids got to keep/collect them. Totally forgot about that!

That little baseball helmet jogged my memory of some ice cream store that used to serve kids sundaes in various MLB team helmets and the kids got to keep/collect them. Totally forgot about that!

Yo! That was my brother and I'm the guy you haven't seen in decades bro. Lol I remember playing with all of that stuff when I was a kid. That knock off Voltron bot was one of my favs. I had alot of that same stuff too. The Mobile Command Center and the Bug. I also had the Space Shuttle. Great to see his collection go to you bro.
