    This guy knows what he's doing. I use the same process (keeping them together at first). Most newbies tend to cook them too fast and too hot which just doesn't get them tender. Nice work.

    • @NYThaiapple
      @NYThaiapple 2 года назад +2

      Totally agreed with this. Folks tempted to rush on the high heat to get the charred BBQ but lack of tender and juicy inside. Charred theory is always something that you can get fixed up easily at the end. 😎

      @@NYThaiapple my gf is vegetarian so I don’t cook as much meat as I used to but I’ve gotten more into cooking chicken wings-I’ve definitely learned that the browning is not nearly as important as slow, even cooking to keep the meat juicy and tender. My favorite method right now using frozen wings is to roast them in my preheated cast-iron skillet. Preheating keeps too much fat from rendering out and you can coat them with any seasoning or just salt and pepper then sauce them after. Skin side down first, 45m-1hr in the oven flipping once and it’s only in the last 10 minutes that you get a real nice browning on them. They come out crispy on the outside without deep frying and it’s great for feeding a crowd, just throw some more wings in the pan and toss it back in. I’ve gotten so attached to the method that I might just throw my skillet on the grill this summer😂

    Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster - especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part - the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part - if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.

    While I would never cook from frozen, good job with this. Due to bad planning and stubbornness, I did 24 in two batches, also on a Jumbo Joe a few weeks go exact same setup except a Craycort cast iron grate. The first dozen had a rest in a covered casserole dish in an oven still warm from a pie. Both batches served at the same time and while the second batch was awesome right off the grill, the first batch wa s even awesomer after its rest. Since we often do these, I will now always rest these a while before serving. Yum!!

    I'm a proud JUMBO JOE owner as well, and the thing I like about the WEBER grills is their versatility. So when I BBQ "indirectly" I always *start* my cooking by placing the meat or vegetables *_directly_* over the fire. I then take a pot warmer or an oven glove & ROTATE the cooking grill so that the meat is now cooking indirectly. During the initial heat-up, that part of the grill is very hot. therefore, eliminating any sticking if I want to move the meat around on the grill. Next to the YODER adjustable grill/pit, WEBER makes the MOST versatile backyard BBQ grills in the world.

    • @TheWolfePit

      Hi Crystal! I am not disputing the horrible practices in the slaughter houses or processors or how gross they are , I agree with you. I think you and I just have a difference in opinions as to what rinsing or soaking chicken does. It doesn't kill any germs, other than rinsing the surface of the chicken and in my opinion is a waste of time and water. The only think that can properly clean and kill all bacteria is cooking to proper temperature. But it certainly doesn't hurt the chicken either. But in my opinion it adds an unnecessary risk to people not as experienced in the kitchen and food safety as yourself who knows how to properly handle poultry and properly clean the areas around the sink. Rinsing poultry by an inexperienced cook in the kitchen can be very very risky, which I think we can both agree on. Like I always say there's no such thing as a right or wrong way to cook, as long as at the end of the day we can safely enjoy the food we prepare!!

    Joe Smith For all the people getting worked up about him not washing the chicken: The point is that washing the chicken, at least with water, does not have the power to kill or wash off all the bacteria. The bacteria burns off in the high heat during the cooking process. Washing the chicken spreads the bacteria around your kitchen because of the splatter. You can clean it with bleach, but there's not a big enough benefit to warrant getting your kitchen riddled in salmonella. The chicken will still have harmful bacteria that will be burned off during the cooking process.

    As a previous user of Traeger+, I've recently made the switch to Asmoke and it has been a game-changer for me. The precise temperature control that Asmoke provides has elevated my grilling game to a whole new level. Cooking chicken, like the BBQ chicken recipe posted here, has become an effortless experience. The ASCA™ technology ensures better cooking results and makes cleaning a breeze. The smoky flavor that the wood pellets add to the food is just amazing. Plus, the versatility of this grill is unmatched, from grilling to smoking to roasting to baking - it does it all! The convenience of being able to adjust the temperature remotely and monitor the food temperature through the app makes it perfect for outings. And the fact that it's battery-powered and portable makes it easy to take on road trips and camping. Switching to Asmoke has truly changed the way I grill. #Asmoke

      want to know what' ive been dealing with for 10-15 years? My mother thinks outside air is polluted and inside air is cleaner. I keep asking her where she thinks inside air comes from if not from OUTSIDE. Also, just the opposite is true since inside air has concentrated house pollutants such as cooking fumes, chemicals from glues/plastics/etc in household items, cleaners, paints, and solvents, etc. In her belief, she closes doors and windows to keep outside air outside which further concentrates the inside pollutant sources.

      When you say clean, exactly what do you mean? Lemon will only clean the surface, just like cooking it will, so cleaning with anything other than cooking is really simply 'rinsing'.

    He did NOT clean or rinse off his chicken? Uhm.......The way Processing Plants handle their Poultry is DISGUSTING. You can use a bit of Vinegar and cool water to soak your pieces for about 15-30 min, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. It's not about the Bacteria; it's the other crap that you CANNOT see on the poultry itself!!! Brrrrr.....*shudders*
