- Here is a sampler from the live in the studio DVD that will be coming out this spring featuring the original lineup of my band Greg Koch and the Tone Controls with Gary Koehler on drums and vocals and Kevin Mushel on bass. This was the title track of a tape we put out in 1990 which featured our original material that was a mixture of chicken fried blues-funk, jazz and rock...
We have been gigging with this lineup again and doing a bunch of our old tunes as well as some new tunes and we thought it would be cool to just run them live and to capture it on video and audio. We did this in late November if I recall correctly. It will come out within the next couple of months possibly with a companion CD as well as the DVD. The project is as yet, untitled.
Please check my website at gregkoch.com and join my Facebook page at Facebook.com/gregkochmusic for details regarding the release. I hope you enjoy it!

Hiya, Greg....
Spent many a wonderful hour watching you at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee years ago. You and Perry Weber. Glad to see you are now better than ever. Your 'Spank It' bits are always one of my favorites.

That was BADASS. Yeah Man. So glad I discovered your channel, not long after I discovered your guitar playing. There's HOPE for guitar in the future after all.
Tone reminds me of Grissom! Great guitarwork, good vocals and a strong tune!
That one lick is, Straight-Up, 1972 ZZ Top! Kudos to you Greg. That's a compliment I don't lavish often or ever. If you ever find yourself on the East Coast, and needing a bassist, give me a call. Been a working pro for 32 years. It would be my pleasure.
Almost uncomfortably good. Mighty nice. Bravo.
Great guitar tone. Amazing it can sound like that without cranking the amp, go gs124.
also dig the singers voice, dont know why, but reminds me of don henley
Fantástic 🎸👏👏👏👏💕
Aaah...I do love Koch in the morning.
I prefer this over the album version. I dig watching folks do things well.
I wouldn't be surprised if this audio wasn't used as the album recording.
Greg you are a killer !!!!
Hey Greg... saw you at the Andertons clinic in Guildford, UK last night. extremely entertaining in the flesh... and thanks of giving us all a jolly rogering! PMSL!!!!
btw, i'm the guy that asked if would be ok to video a clip for a friend who actually bought the tickets and couldn't make it... thanks for the permission, and at the end asked about the Ventilator pedal (wearing the Twins jacket).
great night!!
Tony
