- Vanessa Bryant walked onto the court at the Los Angeles Lakers' arena to honor her late husband, Kobe Bryant's, close friend and teammate, Pau Gasol, as the team retired his No.16 jersey. She returns for the first time since Feb. 24, 2020, the day of Kobe and daughter Gianna's memorial service.

In hindsight, these things are creepy…Kobe saying that their jerseys will be hanging side by side like he did….it’s very presumptive. People tend to have an idea about those kinds of things. He didn’t say “I will be there with him…” specifically. He said it more as a third person would, like “those two will be hanging side by side.” I don’t know, it’s just weird and a bit creepy. But congrats are in order…to both. And Vanessa making a public appearance, so stoic and strong…and STUNNING!! They’re all champs.💜💛
