Thank you for the large print comfort print the Thompson chain reference Bible I think is the best study Bible of them all and the bigger print really helps
Oh, man. For the NASB, the 1995 IS the best. I believe Zondervan would make a lot of people happy by showig they plan to NOT go full blown "out with old" in everything they do their future direction with the TCR.
For the kjv tcr, should add more definitions of archaic word in the margins. Should also move the definitions of archaic words from the back into the left and right margins, similar to how kjv scofield III does the definitions of archaic words.
Thank you. The TCR was my first study Bible as a teen in the 80's. A couple at church gave me a KJV leather copy and I wore it out during high school. Can't wait to get my new NIV TCR next week.
I received my TCR large print this week. I am so excited to dive into it. My first TCR I purchased in 1971. About 5 years ago it feel apart.... the pages just crumbled. I had no option but to throw it away. I was so excited to get the comfort print bible. I do wish they could consider doing a large print , comfort print in ESV.. My only complaint is that is it printed in CHINA. My family has bee trying to buy things made in the USA.
I would like to have the Handy Size premier collection of TCR in brown goatskin. It will be lighter and durable for long lasting use. The brown goatskin is more firm and sturdy than the too floppy black goatskin.
Great interview. In a previous NIV Bible review (not sure which one) you mentioned that NIV Bibles are not allowed to be line matched. Can you comment on that again? Thank you!
@@BibleBuyingGuide I'm surprised to learn that Zondervan, Biblica's premier partner, wouldn't have that level of license. Regardless line matching is not necessary provided the paper is sufficiently opaque.
Randy, thanks a bunch for this info. It looks like from the blog that the other translations of the TCR will not be available till 2023 (?) If so that's a bit of a disappointment. Do you know anything about that?
Thank you Randy and Melinda for the very informative interview on what is to come with the TCR!!! Please bring out the NIV version in a large print premier collection! I prefer to get my premium level Bibles from traditional publishers such as Zondervan, and not going with a boutique brand. As a lot of us are aging, the 9 point font just doesn’t cut it any more.
Great interview with Melinda from Zondervan. I'm saddened to see the archaeological supplement being culled from the new NIV edition (it was one of my favourite parts of the TCR as a teenager), but I totally understand the reason why (as I get older I'm more appreciative of text sizes being 9.5pt and above!). I guess I'll have to refer to the old Kirkbride NIV1984 edition I have along with my late grandfather's KJV TCR in Morocco Leather when I want to use the archaeological supplement. Part of the reason I haven't purchased any of the TCRs since Zondervan acquired Kirkbride is due to the current typesetting of the KJV, ESV, NASB77 and NKJV editions where I feel that the typeface weight is way too light. It makes things much more difficult to read. The older Kirkbride editions seem to be easier to read, notwithstanding that everything feels too cluttered on the page (both within the Bible text and in the helps at the back). I'm looking forward to seeing the new NIV TCR in print when they eventually arrive down here in Australia at my local Christian bookstore (Koorong). I'm hoping the paper will be as good as the type used in my handy size NIV1984 edition that was printed in South Korea.
Thanks so much for doing this interview Randy and Melinda.. love this look into the whole TCR project!! Regarding the NASB, I'd love the 2020 for it.. Also regarding the Premier collection, I'd much prefer the handy size in that over the large print.. of course also the regular size. Not sure where I need to share all this??
It's terrible what has been done to the KJV TCR...those of different versions can't speak to that. The pages are terrible and thin...nothing like Kirkbride.
Thanx, Folks🌹🌹🌹🌹

Very informative. Thank you Randy and Melinda.
Thank you so much for this video and for all the resources. This is much appreciated!!

I like all Thompson chain in black letter only edition in the future

I hope to see both NASB 95 & 2020 as well as the LSB

Premier handsize edition KJV in black letter edition only
Please continue giving us a larger font size, thank very good.
Thanks for the video :) would really love the nasb in the 1995!!

Wide margin TCR please!!!! In regular size.
What is the best way to give our feedback to Zondervan? I don’t think she mentioned that in the video, although she said how valuable our feedback is.
She's reading the comments on all the videos, reviews, in the TCR group on Facebook, and their posts.
I'd prefer the TCR NASB Premiere and/or comfort text in 1995! And please keep the Premier in black letter.
Randy did they say that they're going to do a TCR in the NRSV?
I don't think they are.
Is the new version of Thompson called the 6th improved edition?
Great interview. In a previous NIV Bible review (not sure which one) you mentioned that NIV Bibles are not allowed to be line matched. Can you comment on that again? Thank you!
The NIV setting is specified by the translation committee. To make changes requires a special license that's difficult to get.
@@BibleBuyingGuide I'm surprised to learn that Zondervan, Biblica's premier partner, wouldn't have that level of license. Regardless line matching is not necessary provided the paper is sufficiently opaque.

The KJV releases this Fall. The dates for the others haven't been announced yet, but they'll start next year.
@@BibleBuyingGuide Ok thanks.

I’m sad that architectural is going to be gone on all translations and I like the thicker Bible
Great interview. I would definitely buy a large print premier collection.
I much prefer black-letter and it would be great to have a cheaper option for a black-letter edition in the regular size.
Any news on the ESV? Or does what she said about the 3 sizes apply to the ESV?
Yes, this will apply to the ESV. It won't include a Comfort Print typeface, but they'll choose something similar.
@@BibleBuyingGuide CAN'T wait for the personal size ESV. My new EDC!!
Fantastic interview.
Would love to see nasb 2020 red letter with tcr AND full translation notes...cheers
