For the last 33 years I have been a mobile vehicle technician working on all makes. I have used and advised FORTÉ products with a great deal of success. It will not fix a component which has failed but it will protect parts and lubricate the system. I often put in a treatment with a new component to aid the bedding in process. Keep your expectations real and you will not be disappointed. Dean keep up the good work.
Can't find that Forte in the USA....😞😵
@@mofopopo437 thats the crazy part
Would it work on leak through the rubber seal?
I just got a bmw and I’ve been watching your videos back to back and now car is running great thank you honestly 👍👍
Incase anyone is coming to this video in the future, also if your power steering reservoir looks like that on the cap, replacing that reservoir and doing a flush which is simple and quick makes a world of a difference since the reservoir has a filter that gets old and causes the overflow. Just did it myself and 100% of the issues gone!
Looks how, sorry?
You saved me a lot of money apparently this would have cost me 500 to fix at the mechanic I did this now the steering is smooth as butter thanks bro
I literally got finnesed out of $500😭 at the mechanic everytime I turned the wheel it made a noise and all I had to do was this
Did you drain the fluid before using the product?
Finally a proper diy, keep them coming ...just done mine 2 weeks ago, the red fluid for mine though :)
How is this a proper DIY he's just putting a product into the power steering reservoir...
Many thanks worked like a dream. Really appreciate your help with the video. My reservor was full put a little treatment in. Straight away steering has gone lighter, no noises. On my e90. Thank you very much. Saved me £££££s
Hi I would like to ask since here in Canada we can't get the forte treatment. What you think about Lucas rack & pinion treatment or they're power steering product?
Thanks
Interested in getting this in the US for my '07 E93.. How?
Thanks a lot mate!
I have been in this trade working as a multi brand mobile technician for 33 years and I 100% recommend forté products I have never had an issue with them occasionally the car is too bad to help with a treatment. What Dean says is a bang on product.
Hey hi
Will this product apply in a 2012 x5 35i
My power steering seems to have a leak
Do these help the mini r50 whining power steering pump at all? Mines really bad and it’s had a new pump recently
Brought a 2004 Mini as a project car to do up. Ive made a massive blunder as in I saw power sterring fluid was low but topped it up with normal PS Fluid, since some time have power steering most of time I dont. Any advice? - Thanks from Jason
Hi Doc,
I have newbie question, I have a 2008 325d MSport and I think it has assisted steering as I can't find the reservoir bottle, am I correct in thinking this? Can I use this fluid as the steering feels heavy and I hear clunking sounds when I full lock
Many Thanks
After you add steering power treatment you need to change the fluid in time ?
I have an r53 mini cooper with these issues do you think this would work for me? Also, I am in the US and can't find anywhere that sells forte products is there anyway I can get some here or a US alternative you could recommend
Hello mate, you recommended the Forte DPF Cleaner and Regenerator in another video, i got some last month really has made a difference the dpf has had a new lease of life as not had dpf taken out to be cleaned for around 2 years, this product helped with short trips in my 730d recent
Your welcome friend as I said I KNOW this stuff works mate and now you seen it for yourself I don’t lie about what these products can do
Hey bro, thank you so much … going to try this on my e70 x5m
I used it on customer E38 that had stiff steering and know it's smoother not stiff. WOW what quick fix. Thanks Doc.
yes mate this is what I mean I know many many many people that use these products with literally perfect results but this wont work on a complete knackered system to revive a dead pump like many think
most will go buy this and continue to drive until they put this in and then blame the product when in actual fact its them who destroy it not the product
Hi,does your e38 have self leveling suspension?
Hands down, best BMW channel intro music on u tube! Ha! Cheers, mate
Thank you
Question, if the very end of my hoses connecting into the reservoir are leaking should I snip the ends and re-fasten them to prevent leaking or just replace it all together
This is a great tip, already my steering is a lot better and smoother on my E46
Mine also is so hard do you recommend it and how i should use it
I have a 2005 320d e90. The power steering is only heavy on cold, after warming up its lighter. I was told this is the seals loosening up. I don't have any leaks as I'm not losing any fluid. Will this help?
Do think the liquid Molly treatment is good? I can’t seem to find the forte’ in the states
Hey mate, it says you don’t deliver to the USA. Is there anyway I can pay extra for the delivery in order to make it happen? I only want to get the product that you recommend!
Hey doc,
Unfortunately the product is not available in Germany what do you recommend Liqul moly ?
Ugh my dynamic drive active stabilizer started leaking power steering fluid on my e61 535d. New replacement costs 1800€. Ill try this but I doubt itll fix a broken part.
Hi. I live in the states and I can’t find this product anywhere. Can I ask for your help in seeing about shipping a few to me? Your help is always a god send! please let me know. TY
Hi Doc, I was planning to use FORTE Power Steering Treatment from the video for my e38 750iL m73 engine but it also has self-levelling suspension, is it safe to do so? Also, should I first flush old oil, put new one then add this treatment?
Thanks a lot for your videos, they are so helpful!
My belts were changed over a year ago on my M3 e46, ever since the muppet who changed the belt put his hands on it, I have had constant slipping of the belt on full lock only, and squealing sounds for a few seconds on start up, which was never there before he changed it, would this do the trick or could it be a new power steering pump?
Cheers
Lost all fulid today only relised when i came to a stop the streering was getting hard and underneath the tray was dripping ps fulid cut story short high pressure pipe came lose and leaking from there tighten everything up filled it with fuild ect full lock to lock few times ect streerings back to to normal came home and noticed its whining when turning and not as soft as butter will this treatment fix my issue or is the pump failing again only had changed just under a month
Great video im guessing this will work on a MINI R53
I have a 2011 E90 320d Efficient Dynamics. The steering whines when turning at slow speeds. I have been told that this car has electric power steering. is this true? And please can you advise what the noise may be? Thank you in advance.
I didn't see it in your vids...but have you used the radiator stop leak?..if not on your bmw, someone else's?...I've never used that type of additive(of any brand) on any vehicle...I've heard the gel can end up clogging or gunking up the thermostat...and I was wondering if that's true, or if Forte doesn't do that...temps are dropping and won't be able to do radiator work until spring, so I need a temporary solution...but not if it's going to ruin components(make more work for me)
Can i use this with my bmw e90 2007 which uses ATF for powersteering fluid??
does this work on the E63 BMW M6 Power steering system?
I need a bottle of this but cannot find a link to purchase in the US
Need help!!!! I have an e39 530d from 2000, i recently replaced the gm3 because the steering was super heavy, now it seems to work with medium strength, not working at full power. If i turn on the car and ajust the blind angles of the steering, turning all the way to the left and then to all the way to the right, i get full power steering until i turn off the car, the next time i turn the car on it will be back to medium settings it seems, can you help me out? Thanks
My '08 E60 has 90000miles. I changed the reservoir and refilled it with fresh fluid to avoid issues.
The reservoir IS the filter!! the unit costs ~$20US.
Well that's a shocker the reservoir is the filter. I guess I'm just going to pump the old steering wheel fluid with a Turkey baster then clean up the reservoir as much as possible then refill new steering wheel fluid.
Hey bro can I make contact with u regarding my powersteering problem I tried explaining to my mechanics but they don't understand what I'm talking
I upgraded from my 2006 530d msport to a 2008 530d msport LCI, but but my steering is much heavier than my old 2006, I have no leaks and no noises from the steering, do you think this will solve my issue or would you recommend fluid flush and refill also replace reservoir?
This is what am thinking of doing
I wish you had a work shop here in Melbourne. Australia.
My ps fluid is just below min, ps steering has gone, do i top up the ps fluid first then use the forte?
Will this work on a pre lci E87?
Do you only ship in UK? I could really use this product
Will this product work on my creaky/clicking/sometimes heavy power steering on my Z3 2002 ???
Hi I have e90 330d with ATF fluid in ps is this compatible with atf ?
I can’t get the forte in the us what should I use.
Do they sell these products in the U.S.??
How do I get this product because I have looked everywhere for it and they do not ship to the US
I have no leaking but my power steering is little heavy. Why is it heavy, whats wrong? Driving a BMW 325 Ti compact 2002
On a BMW X5 2006 is the ATF Cap where you also put power steering fluid if it needs a top up ? Not one person can answer me this ? I know where the ATF Cap is but can't find the power steering top up cap anywhere or is it the same thing ?
I was shown it’s the same thing.
My steering has been very stiff since i own my e60. Does this effect fully immediately? Thank you !
Takes about 3 days
Can this be put in even if your fluid is at a decent level ? Will it not cause any problems of over filling?
Do you know where I can find this in the USA
Do you use the entire bottle?
Hey bro, I just replaced the power steering pump and my lines are something I didn’t replace. There’s a pinch right where the line connects to the reservoir in the line. Could this be causing the whining? I’ll pick up speed and the grinding noise doesn’t sound as bad as it would being stationary. Please let me know!!!
When changing the pump you also have to replace your lines
Just to clarify, is this supposed to be done on top of changing the CHF11S fluid itself? I've changed the fluid using the turkey baster method and repeated 2.5x (until I used up the bottle of CHF11S basically) but would be good to know if it's worth adding this on top as well. Thanks.
😊
Does this work on other makes ?
What other brands would you recommend that is found in the U.S.? I've been having similar issues that you mentioned.
OMG!! I would never recommend any products from usa there all crap and dont work
@@BMWDoctor can you ship to the US??
anything similar in the US?
mister doctor, i have a 2009 335i e93 twin turbo, i bought it second hand with 80 thousand miles, the steering has always been hard, is that normal or is something wrong?
G’day BMW Doc Sorry I can’t understand what you’re saying at 3:44 and I’ve attempted to use captions but I’m guessing you’ve got it automatically set to Portuguese for some reason, I’ve tried a few other videos of yours and captions are set to English. Just thought I’d let you know in case you weren’t aware of it. I have a leak around that cap that you point to at around 3:44 into the video. Trying to work out what fluid it holds please?
yeah, man's talks faster than eminems raps
Hi from the US. Cannot find Forte' here, can anyone suggest a suitable similar brand sold in the United States?
Hey man can you deliver this to Canada BC if I order a piece?
Can I use this in a vw with electric-hidraulic power steering?
It uses the same oil, I think
I has stiff steering that gets worse when hot
He won’t reply to actual comments
Maybe i’m to late for question and probably nobody will see but hope someone still answer. How to use correct way? Should top up on top of my current fluid or i need to suck some out then poor the the treatment or the steering fluid has to be replaced and then should be treatment top up on top of that. Hope to hear some answers !
Dude i have some leaking on stering sistem and i know its not on pipes.
Is it really safe to put it in?will dont damage pump or someting else.
Sorry for bad English 😒
Its e66 individual 2007
Do I need to bleed the it once I've put this in?🤔
I wish we had FORTE over here on shelves. Some of the stuff I used were a last hope shot never worked. I see Stephen Hayes
gives it good reviews also. So the both of you stand by it, it must be good. 👍👍
Many many guys on here mate stand by it kevin it’s very very very highly recommended over here forte is no crap mate Trust me
There about 5 guys on here that highly
Rate it like me and KNOW I don’t talk crap about these products I swear by them
Hi, My 1987 E30 steering wines when turning. The wheel is not heavy. I do notice the fluid does not move at all in the reservoir. HELP!
I have a 2012 bmw x5, some one bumped me in the rear, when i was sitting at a traffic light, didnt hurt my vehicle frame at all but my transmition is not right now. will the transmition be ok ? its all wheel drive,
Do you have to drain the existing power steering fluid then top with this treatment?
This is what I'm looking for
Does it work on the e36
Anyone has an alternative product to this Forte brand? It's virtually impossible to find here in Australia.
can use with bmw e30?
How much shipped to USA??
Do you have to remove steering fluid to add the product or can you just add even if steering fluid is full ?
Use a syringe to suck a bit out to make room for yor new fluid
Can I use Forte on my Mini R53 2006??
Noted for future use!
no problem lance
@@BMWDoctor hi mate, would this work for noisy power steering whilst turning steering wheel? Or is it just for leaks
How do I get this in the US?
I'm on my third power steering pump on an E90 325i 2010
Basically the shop puts it on with a warranty and 10 / 15 days later it starts wining
Shop replaced it 3 times and told me to never come back
Do you think this would work
It will indeed mate
Does this work if the intake hoe is leaking that goes to power steering cooler?
I’m surprised you didn’t suggest the replacement of the reservoir because they have a built in filter that ends up getting dirty and restricts flow over time and thats what causes the overflowing out of the cap.
I thought overflow was normal excess foaming caused by heating of the fluid.
What is it I'm having this issue right now with overflowing steering wheel fluid with heavy steering but no noise so far. Fluid is 3/4 filled.
Not true I bought brand new reservoir OEM & it was leaking regardless
Was going to head out today when i noticed a puddle of fluid under my E91 btween the driver door and engine. Shat my pants as i thought the oil pan gasket finally shit the bed but after taking a second look i think its power steering fluid. The reservoir is empty and the puddle was leaking pretty bad when i turned the car on. It also doesnt feel as thick as the t6 5w-40 i just changed it with not even a month ago. I think its leaking from the pump or rack, which sucks
i need one of the forte
how can i get one?
Does anyone know how much we use
Is 12oz (355ml) of FORTE power steering stop leak enough for Audi Q7 2012?
Whats the song in the beginning?
Do u put the whole bottle in ?
Will this fix leaks? My steering is buttery smooth but the fluid in the reservoir drains like its niagara falls. Will forte stop the leaks?
He won’t reply to actual comments
Did you watch the video, he says it a few times.
Hi Dean, I guess it would work alright with The Mini Cooper aswell, mine is quite noisy 👍
That’s correct mate it will indeed work with that go and use it and watch the results and come back and let me know mate as I have many many people who can’t get this product and doubt it because they can’t even get it and think it’s like Lucas fluid which is NOT THE CASE
BMW Doctor will do mate I don’t know if I’m my case is too far gone but I’ll have a go ... 👍👍 cheers
What about the 2008 328i?
If your power steering reservoir looks like the one with the cap in the video, replacing it and giving it a quick flush can solve overflow problems caused by an old filter. I did this on my 152,000-mile-old car, and now it runs smoothly thanks to a reservoir from Euro Power Motorsports. It's a simple fix that made all the difference
Old video I know, but my M135i from 2013 has just started with heavy power steering today, could this help?
did you manage to solve the problem m8?
Will it fix heavy steering
Just ordered mine from your link mate for my E53 thanks 👍
how did it go ? did it help solve the power streering problem on your E53 ? I've whining sound when I steer my e53 but Power steering fluid looks all ok and full .. not sure whats wrong, pls advise. Thanks.
@@appsupport9871 Same here. Mine started a few days ago. I still need to check underneath my truck as well though just to make sure something else isn't causing it, smh
Will this be used instead of replacing a bad power steering pump
Is steering pump the same as steering fluid reservoir?
Hey can i use it with chf 11s fluid ?
That what I wanted to know to mate
It works on a mini cooper s from 2003?
Does it stop the whining on the Mini Cooper
