The old Kai Tak Airport terminal is very close to the hotel Regal. It's an older part of the the city. Like you said 3 stars...The hotel itself is safe, it's less expensive than some of the prime locations and the inside is okay but if you have the funds you may want to look at other options. The Regal was where some of the shipmates stayed when we visited in 2006.
Yeah there isn't much to do in the immediate area surrounding the hotel so we will definitely consider somewhere else if we do go back.

Yes no problem! You can get a taxi from the airport straight to the hotel. Make sure you pick the red taxis as they go into the city. It's around 40 a minute journey from the airport to the hotel.

Are there MTR stations nearby? Or any restaurants?
Yeah the nearest MTR is about 10-15 minutes away but we didn't see too many restaurants near the hotel.

No we weren't asked for a deposit fee. We paid through booking.com if that helps.
@@TinaAndDeanPhLife yay! This is very helpful! Will be visiting hk this year. Is it true that they have shuttle buses that can bring you to the MTR?
@@ThisIsAnika57 When we stayed there, they didn't have any shuttle buses to the MTR. Nearest MTR about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel is Sung Wong Toi. Hk a great place to visit, we hope to go back someday!
