I’m quoting my grandma: “Wallow Waller same thing!” “Kinda like warsh wash”. Now yall know where I get my crazy words from 😂😂
Us okies say the same thing!!!
Do you ever watch David Ellis: Yawt Yawt , he did a good explanation of a waller today 6/9/24
Cody cam was awesome!!
Cody cam is a great addition to your channel. Please keep it up. Thank you Cody.
I never heard of Hog Waller...course I'm from Canada. Enjoyed this video also!
Ever hear of a buffalo wallow, up on the flats in the Panhandle, you can still see them today after a rain. I’m guessing the hog wallows are similar, just smaller.
The term "Hog Waller" is real! BTW, love the "Cody Cam!"
I grew up on a farm in central Texas. Hogs "wallowed" all the time. The term Hog wallow is in all the online dictionaries. Great video. Keep them coming.
Yes, a "hog waller". That's what we called it in NE Indiana. Now, that's a looooooong sickle! Good job with the GoPro, Cody! It's nice to see unloading on the go from a different viewpoint.
Definitely a word at our farm in central Illinois
In Northern KY a hog wallow is a dip that holds water that hogs lie down in to get cool. They wallow in the few inches of water. It starts as a mud puddle, but with time and water, a hog can make an area a tractor can not cross.
that is what I thought it is...in WA State talk.also
"Waller" instead of "wallow" is also a Kansas thing, at least in the rural areas. Around here the ground that is cropped has few since we don't really have the hog problem, but the pastures still retain the 150 year old buffalo wallows which can surprise you when driving a pickup through the pasture trying to count the cattle.
We here it in Oklahoma
Having run grain cart years ago, I loved the footage. Thanks Cody! Love all the videos Hayden. You do a great job!
Great new footage. He’s a pretty busy fella trying to keep up with both combines and having to fill trucks. Not to mention waiting on returning trucks to be able to unload. I enjoy getting different prospectives from others in y’all’s crew. Safe cutting!
It's Sunday.. I have time.... "Hog Wallow" is a bare depression in the ground made by rolling around of hogs when muddy. I asked "Alexa. 😏
Cody, we'd love to give you a 'light' vote, but you sit in a parked tractor..... Maybe if you start driving around the field come sunset... Grin..
Mom has won so many light games now I'm losing count... Whoosh.. Lol Happy Sunday guys!
Wow, can we get a tour of the Cody tractor? Sounds like he has a whole band in there. Incredible, guy can drive that machine and make all that music, one guy! Love his fiddling mostly. Super job. Another great video. Great team ya'll have wallering around in them there wheat fields.... Thanks for sharing.
Good video Hayden. Yeah I've always called it a Waller
It’s a word here in Kansas we have old buffalo wallers
Iam in south central Nebraska, and i have heard of hogwallow. That was my job on the farm in the summer to keep the hog cool!! Love the videos, give Dips a hug for me. Where is your mom's dog ?
We always referred to them as hog walkers in Southern Colorado. With that being said, all my grandparent came from the Oklahoma Panhandle to homestead in Colorado
Hog Waller in Northern Idaho. We used to dig a shallow hole and fill it with water in the hot summer, a treat for the pigs. Where do you find your background music? Sounds like Texas. It's great.
Love the Cody cam.
Up here near the home of John Deere in dense hog country it's called WALLOW!!! Raising pigs is a good way to go broke farming. That is why we no longer farm. Keep on combining wheat!!! John T. Great video.
The more people with a cam the better you videos will be Hayden Cody cam is great and yes your Grandma is right its Waller LOL
Waller is what we refer to in west Texas. Hog Waller, buffalo Wallers on the plains.
Like the Cody Cam to the channel, it is a great addition 😊
Ha like to Cody videos but can’t pass up on “Wash the windows”!
Good to see Cody's pov!
Southerners love adding or losing R's.
Wallow vs waller. wash vs warsh. water vs warter. southern vs southen.
Other varients around the letter R.
Okree instead of okra .
A native of Gawga 😅,no peace i find ,just an old sweet song is moonlight in the pines.
Yup. I'm from Wyoming and have heard that term
Yes, there is a Hog waller
There is a hog waller resort for ATV in Putnam Florida.
Wonderful videos thank you
Why wouldn't you start the season off with a new sickle? Now you are 2-3 weeks in and no backup sickle? Ran the harvest trail for 15 + yrs and built 2 sickles for each machine every spring and changed when we started Colorado or maybe as late as the start of Maize back down in Central Tx.
Great video Hayden . Thank you
Hog waddle is any hold with water so the hogs can waddle in to cool off and remove the insects.
we have them in Georgia
Great videos keep them coming
Cody cam was awesome! Well done!
Love the Cody Cam it gives us a whole new perspective
That was an interesting pivot setup with the plastic pipe hanging below the main rig. Never seen that before and ive farmed and grown up with pivots for 20 years.
It’s called under sling when your pipe rots out from rust you under sling it keep going .. cheaper than new one ..
Cody did some good camera work and I have heard of waller so your good and I’m from Missouri
I think y'all ought to include Cody in the light game. Fair is fair.
There is actually a road in Alabama call "Hog Wallow Hollow" While it may be spelled correctly, I can guarantee you that its not pronounced correctly lol
Cody the man
I would like to see you put the flags back on the combines lad.
South Texas has too many trees they would get ripped off
Gnarly skies help the hogs make there wallers
Yes hog waller, when hogs are outside they need a mud waller to roll in cause they don’t have sweat glands so they use the mud to help keep cool and so they don’t get sunburned.
It’s a hog waller. That’s what we called them in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley when we were growing up.
Real word
Hog waller is a valid word, kinda like a gully washer or toad strangler.
We also have a Buffalo wallow at my parents farm.
I've heard 'hog waller' for a long time
Yes, walker is a southern expression. And way to go Cody, another pa born RUclipsr upstart.
Waller. Not walker. Lol
hog waller - Wiktionary, the free dictionary
I think I heard the name Hog Waller way back when on the Beverly Hillbillies…🤔😂
Well our family moved from NY colonies in 1783 and we called them same thing but maybe we just watched too many southern westerns and it stuck too lol
I’m surprised that is a single Knife on 40ft
I like to new Cody cam
Those fan systems need serviced every 500 hours but rarely ever get it😬
IHAD NO IDEA Cody SPEAKS! Wow!
Like the Cody cam next how about mom cam will she go for that lol
Tylen love ❤
Cody had a moment like,"They ask you how you are and You have to say that you fine but your not really fine" Womens voice*sad music*😂
😂😂😂😂
You go you doing a good job where you could clean his back window little different watch videos from his view than yours😂😂
Do most farmers not desiccate their crops that you cut for? Lots of green I always see. We find it makes a huge difference in combining and the next year is so much cleaner. It’s a must for us.
What state are you in? Generally if a herbicide such as Finesse is applied at planting or later weeds are not a problem unless excessive rains delay harvest.
Here in Ohio we would pasture sows and they would dig a hole that filled with water and mud and we called them hog wallers
We had one in pig pen.
Can you do a cam that shows the field truck being loaded as well as unloaded at the elevator? Just wondering?
I'd call a hog waller a run down place and that in the field I'd call a rutt where hogs have rutted up the ground looking for food. Then again I've been wrong one other time and it Might happen again LOL
Don't quote me on this but: "Hogwalla" I think comes from the "Appalachian" way of speaking.🤠👍...I think??#
Never complain about the rain..
If the water faucet turns off it makes for some tuff farming conditions!!
What’s it yielding?
No purpose in farming if you can’t harvest the crop…
@@HaydenOnHarvest it would seem that you are of the opinion that it’s gonna grow regardless..
You people in south Texas don’t get a lot of rain to begin with or you wouldn’t have those pivots sitting in the fields or the tracks where you been running them!
I agree it ain’t no reason to grow it if you can’t harvest it.. but complaining about rain in a dry climate like your in seems a little ungrateful!
It wasn’t but a couple years ago y’all were thinning cattle herds because of drought and not making any crops..
So I’d prolly not complain when Abba shows favor and provides rain!
Especially in an area that isn’t prone to a lot of it..
Shalom!.
@@microsoilenhancersinspirey5750 . It takes rain to grow the crop & sunshine to harvest it. We are here to harvest. We have small windows to get the crops out before it’s time to move up the wheat trail to get other farmers crops out. We are far from ungrateful! Be realistic here & look at the bigger picture before you start assuming.
@@HarvestChic fair enough!
I apologize for any disrespect my comment may have made.
Last year we could not catch a rain. Dut this year we are getting a lot of rain. We can't stay in the field for more than a day.
Always somthing lol
We got to plant yesterday for the first time in a week then it started to rain today
hog wallow
noun
A shallow depression denuded of vegetation and potentially muddy, created by the wallowing of hogs.
Is there a Sloan dealer near you? ZK master tech does a Lot of thise Fan Drivers.
Any word on the merch?
I imagine it is a "hog wallow", i.e. a place where they allow in the mud.
Maybe we are hick lol
Would you consider getting a drone for some aerial shots?
I already have one lol it’s just a pain to stop the combine to put it up and then drive the combine while flying it then stoping the combine again to pick it up
Iv heard of hogs wallowing in the mud
I grew up calling it “wallering” not “wallowing” lol
YES - one word hogwaller
Or rut
How many grain carts per semi trailer?
@leefury7 1 grain cart load is = 1 semi load
@@HarvestChic Really? Wow. I would have guessed 2 or 3. Thx, Shana.
Isn’t wild hog supposed to be good tasting?
Well before I knew what I was eating it was pretty good then I learned it was a wild hog and I was like nope. When a buzzard won’t eat 1/3 of them you know they are nasty 😂😂
@@HaydenOnHarvest interesting
Why don't you announce Cody as the winner in the light game.
He is sitting still in the field. That would be cheating lol
Maybe its time for Dad to buy a couple of red combines.
😂…. No
🌽🌽🌽
Cart drivers most thank less job during harvesting
Cart driver is the important guy in the field.. and has to be good at it .
Not true. We are grateful for ours every day! Cody is an all around great guy & worker! We were all so happy when he pulled up to the shop for season 2.
I think I heard the name Hog Waller way back when on the Beverly Hillbillies…🤔😂
