- Apologies for no videos being uploaded as of late. Too much stuff to do with too little time to do it! Anyway, I should be back to a more normal video upload schedule for the forseeable future! :)
------------------
The saga continues! I'm along the top northern most coastline of Scotland. It's totally miserable weather so I call off the day's destination and explore this tiny old crofter's cottage - Mary Ann'e Cottage.
For more info regarding Mary Anne's cottage visit:

Huge thanks to my patreons:

I'm making this up as I go. How am I going to afford it? Where am I going? Why? What do I get up to?
It's going on right now, I'm out here full time, seeing where it takes me!
Come join me, there's beer! :)
Feel free to comment and let me know what you would like to see in the future.

This is my first van conversion. I have no experience nor particular skills in this. I am basically converting a van to live in full time using the information from watching youtube videos...Let's see how that pans out :)
Here is what I aim to do:
Convert a van to live in it full time
Travel the entire coastline of the UK
Improve my filming/editing skills
Document the entire journey
Drink beer... :)
==================================
Hi, my name is Si.
In late September of 2021 I decided that I was a little bored with my small business selling antique and vintage furniture based in South Wales UK which we started 4 years ago from the ground up. I fancied doing something else completely, something fun and a new challenge, and that new thing is full time van life.
So, currently, I've closed down the business and I'm now living in the van partime. I have a Ford Transit SWB medium top van and that’s pretty much it. From here on out I am going to be filming my journey into full time vanlife, the van conversion (no experience) and everything it takes to get there. A kind of before and after video series of how I finally (no guarantees) got to where I want to be.
I am hoping to have the conversion done by summer 2022 (this didn't happen! maybe summer 2023?) and then travel fulltime around the coastline of the UK working along the way to fund the project/lifestyle. I may head to Spain first though? I have no idea what is about to happen... :)
Join me in that process (warts and all) and hopefully I can inspire someone else to do whatever it is they wish to do from the absolute ground up.
“Keep the vision, trust the process”.
Si

hi si at least it's steady work which helps
Yeah, it's the grind though! I needed to get square again to reset for my next trip further around the coast and beyond!
Good to hear that you found your feet again.
Thanks :) just a few months grind to get squared away and make some improvements then I'll continue along the coast :) I'm over half way around the coast of Britain now :)
Awesome to see you Si. You never fail to make me smile. Gorgeous view to wake up to. Don"t work too hard, ya gotta have some time to play hun. best wishes as always.
Cheers Kathy, yeah I'm chillin for a day or two. Get back to the grind again to get sorted, then off again :)
Cracking to see you again your vids are real and make me smile.
Thanks Mario, I appreciate that. Video upload schedule should be back to normal now...
I like your van. It's very real. My van got scrapped so these days I just do a bit of car camping...
Thanks Sue, it's a work in progress. Made a few mistakes but managed to get around most of them. Heater would be nice this winter if I can get it to work...? Happy travels to you to :)
Good to see you Si! 😁 Glad you're well even if you're super busy 😊 The cottage tour looked really interesting.
Thanks Jen. That tour was great. The two ladies were ace!
Loved video, glad to see you back on line. Loved the tour of the cottage, reminded me of my nan🤗 and happy times in Scotland. Keep em coming Si love being on your journey.

Great video of Mary Anns Cottage thank you it was so interesting.Thank you all the very best
Thanks Philip, it was a great tour. The ladies were brilliant 👏 👌
That little cottage is lush! Perfect little time capsule. I never knew they used heather for the chimneys and for the dishes. Learnt something there, great little video!
It was a great find. I really enjoyed the tour with the lady, she was well funny :)
Nice to see you back, all work &no play you know the one
I do Robert :) you've just twisted me arm to go out and get slaughtered! 😀

Thanks Dean :)
good to see you back bud! excellent vid looking forward too seeing the review! Need a sandwich like that van chef! That grain cottage most excellent! 🙂
Ay up bro, that sarny was a beast! The review is already up. Loads more stuff to follow. Hope you're well!
@@SuperVanVagabond Sarny a beast for sure! 🤣 Yea saw it hopefully check it out later bud! 😎
I live just north of whitby, mate. If you need a driveway with electric to fix it, or an address to get a new diesel heater delivered/sorted just let me know
Thats very kind of you surfy! I'll keep it in mind. I've got a new motherboard for the heater coming. Being sent to my work address so there's that. Hopefully that'll fix it? ...
Not massively sure tbh. I fitted my own and tapped it into my van's diesel tank, and it kind of just seems to work ok (other than it sometimes turns itself on randomly, so I just take the fuse out if I'm not in it). But for the sake of a hundred quid or whatever they cost, it may just be worth buying a new one? Most of the stuff that you'll have already have fixed in can just stay there and just substitute the main body and leave the exhaust etc. in from the old one?
@@surfysurf1 yeah that's what I'm thinking to, but I wanted to try a few less costly things first. The error E - 3 suggests glow plug, but could also be low power or leads. I've got a video coming with this in it. I got into some of what I've tried already. All I know is its been a pain in the a$$!
Hey there Orn, yes I've been a bit busy recently. No time to edit and upload new videos, but we're back to normal now :) still busy but I have a little more time to upload new videos. Lots of working atm. Hope you're doing well! :)
😂❤❤❤❤❤
Had two of these years ago came from a old farm had most tools as it was my job buying and selling most people called them selves antigue dealers just to be posh wankers.
Ibought and sold all my life just called a dealer😊
I've sold all sorts of stuff back in the day. Had a lot of fun. I never referred to myself as an antique dealer either. I was just making it up as I went along. Learning on the job :)
