  • An Emulsion PCR, is a technique that is widely used for whole genome sequencing. This is actually the first step for whole genome sequencing. In an emulsion PCR, the DNA fragment is amplified on a bead that has PCR primer. This amplification is carried out in an emulsion, where the water droplets are surrounded by oil.

    Thanks for the video. I think half of the strands will not be attached to the beads because they are reverse strands. Is this correct?
