Clip 5: WD-40 must never be used as a brake cleaner as it contains, mineral oil and petroleum because oil in any shape or form brake discs don't match Clip 13: WD40 should not be used to clean windshield wiper blades, as it disintegrates the rubber from the blades P.S.: This kind of clip is only suitable as baid clip
Do not spray WD 40 on your car's body, it will shine initially but the paint twill fade eventually, avoid getting them on your disk brakes yow will loose traction, the same goes for the parts of your tire that have direct contact with the road surface,
if i would put on a car body and than wax it is that okay or put it on a car body use polish and wax is that okay ? and brakes and car battery stay fair away but can I use it as a wheel cleaner and than use a polish ?
I wouldn't spray it on the rims of the car with the brake pads right there. It seems you could get them covered w/wd40 and start a fire when the pads get hot.
Before using it; notice that wd40 dissolves grease too. So if you spray it on parts that should contain grease, you will be actually removing that grease. I would recommend to use later on lithium grease to replace wd40 to last longer.
I‘m also not sure if it’s appropriate for rubber parts. Scotty Kilmer btw says it’s not good for varnished parts in the long run. - It gives a short term shiny appearance if you want to sell your car , but it‘s harming the varnish and makes it fade.
Its an anti rust spray not a Polishing compound . Its oily & the more dust you ll get on exterior surfaces. Better on Only rusty & clogged areas to make it smooth.
OMG, please do not spray WD 40: into the ignition box, on the door hinges, on the wheels to avoid staining the brake discs, on the wipers, on the mirror hinges ... you'll save yourself a lot of trouble.
The WD-40 should NOT be used on plastic surfaces or plastic parts. It removes the plasticizers from the material. The plastic becomes porous and can break off. Also, it has NO lubricating function.
There is WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube. Also, the official guideline says that you *can* use classic WD-40 as a lube in some situations (like lubing metal joints and bolts of a bed or lubricating Swiss army knives).
My washing machine drawer was stuck. A friend mentioned wd40. So I got a can and sprayed it on the sides and in towards the middle where the clip is on the drawer. Used the red stick to poke about a little and HAPPY DAYS the drawer came lose. Best £1 I ever spent on a small 80ml can of this stuff. I am making note of its tricks now going forward. It takes pride of place in my DIY and cleaning drawer, as I was in a cahoots why the drawer would not come out despite trying every trick going pressing the blue button piece down etc. Darn washing powder mini clog on the clip. 🤦♀️😁👍
WD40 is a thin oil based maintenance spray for freeing off seized rusted components, I’d never spray it on my brake discs, or onto my cars wiper blade rubbers, for car locks it’s best to use graffiti grease than WD40, and for car paintwork it’s best to use car polish not oil . Out of all these things shown here, it wasn’t shown to free off any suspension components.
Use under the vehicle. Spray all bushings and axle boots to rejuvenate. I don’t use WD-40 inside the vehicles. I do use dryer sheets. I’m a guy so I buy the sport odor sheets. I put one under each seat and if you like a stronger smell fold up and put in side door pouches. Toss a couple in the trunk. 😊
I used it on tires, head of engine, wiper blades and front lights but results wasn't good, all part got oily, after one or two days dirt and oil was sticked to all parts
NEVER use WD40 on the wheel nuts, NEVER on rubber and NOT EVER on the interior of your car, you'll never get rid of the smell of WD40 and it makes everything like a dust magnet, yeah, it makes everything look nice, but only for a short time, then it looks like shit again...
Its VERY temporary for headlights. May last a few hours or a day at the very most. People also think that WD 40 is a lasting lubricant. It wasn't made for that purpose but can also be a temporary fix to squeaky doors etc. WD 40 was produce and used by NASA to prevent rusting on certain surfaces. It is not an all purpose lubricant or cleaner and never claims to be that.
Wait..What?? In #5 did you just spray wd40 through the wheel directly into the brake rotor????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! DO NOT DO THIS.....SPRAY CLOTH AWAY FROM BRAKES AND WIPE ONTO WHEEL.
No there is nothing to d for rusty spots except lightly sanding, blow or wipe of the dust that creates, prepare the metal with metal paint primer and let this dry completely, as directed by the paint makers. Then spray in small overlapping strokes and allow it to dry.
Wd 40 can use mainly for opening of rused parts like nut and bolts, screws ctc.. and effective on where send paper not working like so much matelic parts are jointed and working togather... WD 40 will melt rust and parts movement easily...
It’s not made to use on headlights. The yellow tint plastic headlights develop is caused by the heat of the lightbulbs in the lights. There is really nothing which will work successfully. Just drive slower at night and be careful because almost all the drivers out there have the same trouble! You might consider replacing the lights but that entails removing most of the front end of the vehicle, which is very difficult without special equipment and very expensive.
I had overspray on my car for paint and I thought I'd try it using WD-40 to get it off and I tell you what it really really works WD-40 gets over spray paint off your car with no problem Bob Elkhart
I really didn't know you can use WD40 for mirrors! But it is very very practical music from most of the everything it is the perfect present for your car
ok this video teaches you how to ruin your brakes with use number 5 you do not want oil on your brakes that will not end well. Now that you got oil on the pads and rotors take the wheel off pull the brakes apart clean them all and then put it back on but look at the bright side your wheels where clean till you had to tear apart your brakes! had to make an edit this video is not recommended by an auto mechanic just so you know it will ruin things on your car i only got to i think it was 12 before i had to stop it
Ahh man I really see stuff you shouldt do with wd40, 1st keep it away from your braking system and second avoid putting it on anything soft plastic or bushings....
I actually spray it on my break pads when they are basically screeching… or the disc is grinding non stop. Spray it on the pads and watch them work like new. I have never lost traction or lost my break power, ever. If anything it made them alot better. Try it. I have a 4 runner it’s a life saver.
my flasher relay is stuck tight in its hard plastic socket and I cannot pull it out....can I use wd-40 to loosen it up?will it not damage the hard plastic socket?thank you in advance for your answer sir.....

My hardtop convertible started acting up so I used WD40 on all moveable parts and the receivers by the dashboard. Been fine all summer!
Whatabout using it in your fryingpan, gives your egg n' bacon a really manly flawor!
Wouldn't spraying it on moving parts like door hinges remove all the grease?
Exactly, you should use the lithium grease for that cause the WD40 will dry out after awhile!
Before using it; notice that wd40 dissolves grease too. So if you spray it on parts that should contain grease, you will be actually removing that grease. I would recommend to use later on lithium grease to replace wd40 to last longer.
Exactly

To .Carldeas.Thanks for ever and endless for your lovely video and good luck all the best for ever
3:38 you need to use wd40 silicone because it's plastic and rubber safe
Its an anti rust spray not a Polishing compound .

Not true, its also a cleaner and a lubricant

WD 40 is good for lubrication and cleaning but not full car you can clean it lubricate some parts like doors and discs (not disc brakes)
How about using it to spray inside your mirrors, the ones that auto fold ?
I used it on the side mirror and a big spill went on the body and now stained the car! Can please someone tell me what to do ?

There were different types of wd40; some you could use for plastic but the basic one better just use on medal to medal joints.

Any spray can use for the roof out side of car ? if the paint is off then got steanks on which sprsy will tske off of stanks from car roof?
No there is nothing to d for rusty spots except lightly sanding, blow or wipe of the dust that creates, prepare the metal with metal paint primer and let this dry completely, as directed by the paint makers. Then spray in small overlapping strokes and allow it to dry.
WD 40 is good to use as starting fluid spray.
hello, is this safe for ceramic coated car? Ty!
Don't use it on any car finish!
If you got light swirls in you paint, you can also use WD-40, but it will not last for long.
WD40 is not a lubricant. The WD stands for water displacement was use on rocket fuel tanks to displace water from freezing on them.
Is it better than Wruth plastic and rubber care ?
I hope you can get it to come out. I have at least 10 cans at least half full or more that i can't get to even come out of the can.

Use silicone spray, it won’t damage plastic like WD 40 will.
Love the content.
It's anti rust spray .
It’s also a cleaner and a lubricant
WOW ! I WONDER IF I COULD USE IT ON ...FOOD TOO !
No!! It is slightly poisonous!!

❤ Thank you for the tip.
Most of these hacks dont REALLY work,e.g.,headlights get dull again in few days
It will dull up even more if u use it as it has oily substance in it , it gets heated up when lights are on
It's also good If you get sunburned.

So in other words, it'll do the same thing any other spray lubricant will do.
