OH I LOVE THIS!!! I just found my mother after 50 years and come to find out; she is a quilter too!!! Gonna save my egg money and buy these to make for her. Thank you so very much for this video! You are awesome :)
The online guild I belong to make these all the time. Each one is a different theme. I literally must have about a hundred by now. They are a great way to get to know people, learn something new and keep in touch with other quilters you only see occasionally at a quilt show! Nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
I am a holiday-fabric junkie but have always struggled to find a use for them due to my minimalist decorating style. Now I have an excuse to start buying again!! Thanks!
Laura, I love this idea. I have made postcards before, but I did them without a kit. The people I sent them to loved them. I enjoy all of your videos. Thank you for doing them. Betty
If I received one, I'd use it for a mugrug! Great project. Thanks. With lots of love from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵, 90/61f today, sure hope we don't skip spring!
Laura, just found this video. Great! Our Guild has a challenge that for valentines day we each send 2 postcards to someone who needs cheering up. Your video will sure help. Thanks so much.
Hi there Laura! I sure do appreciate your professionally recorded video on making quilted mailable postcards. Until this video I had no idea that postcards came in sizes larger than 4"x6". The larger sized postcards sure offer more room for creative expression. Thanks again. I enjoy your videos. Stay safe and healthy during this Covid19 pandemic!
love it! you have great videos and great ideas. you can always ship anything in a clear sleeve. I always have used those sheet protectors and taped them shut.
Laura: Ohhhh wow😀 this looks like so much fun. I also couldn’t get to the link(as others had mentioned) I did a google search for fabric postcard kits!!! Zebra was one of the many choices, went to their website and 😳😳😳 looks like a lot of fun 👏🤑😝😝 Thank you Laura ❤️😀
I would never mail one of these without putting it in something. I love the post office, I worked there for 40 years! But I wouldn't trust the processing even so. Automation used at the post office won't care about all your hard work. Still I love this idea. I am a card sender.
Fabulous! I am a card maker too, one side of my workroom is for that. These are fabulous, great way to use scraps of things, I would love to try it! I don't know if we can get the post card backs here in UK though, may have to be innovative! You're the best!!
I've sent in the bubble envelope and it cost between 4-5 dollers. If no buttons or beads I've put in card size envelope and it costs about what you would pay for regular card.
Hi Laura, new subscriber and quilter here. Love this idea because it's a great way to start, imo. Also, I'm insanely crazy about that log cabin quilt behind you!!! I only see one log cabin video on your play list. Is that the design? If not, where is the plan for that quilt? Your videos are great.
Do you know if these are available as printable pdfs? As I'm thinking I could print on freezer paper backed fabric and then continue with the idea. I am based in the U.K. I think it's a wonderful concept by the way.
I use a graphics program (I use the Hallmark Greeting Card Creator) to make my own special postcard backs and then I iron the fabric onto freezer paper and print. Works beautifully for me and allows me to "type" the address so I make sure it gets to its destination.

They are so very cute and whomever receives it will feel very special!

It is a older Quilt but I am working on a pattern
Just made my first log cabin quilt. Now need to top quilt it. Can you recommend best way to top quilt a log cabin?
You could try something like this:) ruclips.net/video/hV3nFbeaHNU/видео.html
These are wonderful, Laura! What do you think about serging the edges vs. zigzagging?
both are great:)
What size sewing machine needle are you using?
Thank you.

I love this idea. Can you do this by creating your own postcard back instead of buying kit?
Yes, and it is just as much fun:)
I use Hallmark Greeting Card Creator
Sadly the links don’t work..
None of these kits r available
links are not working
Cute idea. Thanks. I once mailed an embellished sneaker to a friend and it made it through the mail! But oops it’s “you’re” not “you’r.”
You saw that...it is personal joke...I forgot to mention that:) lol But my girlfriend loved it
my post office claims they dont 'do' hand canceling.
I now just put them in a small bubble envelope..:)
Boo boo - the link comes up blank now for me
*you'rE
Cute idea BUT you need to check your spelling -- the contraction for you are is you're NOT you'r
