The Combined Cadet Force is always a popular option and has been the springboard for a number of illustrious careers over the years. Outdoor activities at Ellesmere College can be pursued in a non-military manner through the College's Outdoor Training Unit and there are opportunities to pursue the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
