When you were trying to explain about your skin and couldn't quite get the words out i figured out what you were saying!!! Your skin just feels GOOD and your loving it!
Just placed my first Paula’s Choice order today. Ordered the cleanser & sunscreen you like. Rakuten has 20% off & free shipping today, plus 8% cashback👏🏻
Revolution makes a 15% niacimide serum . Interesting I have seen PC state in the past that niacimide beyond 10% is unecessary & there is no benefit , 20% seems overkill to me when 10% is very effective
According to their website it's to address more stubborn bumps and sun damage. Not sure why they changed their mind, however I know that this version is controlling my oil far better than 10% did so I'm glad they came out with it.
Ok, I’m going to order. I’ve been torn about it for a couple weeks now. I’ve been using PC products for several years. Initially, It took me about a year and lots of trial and error to figure out which products and routine suited my very fair, sensitive, very oily (yet dry and flakey skin on my upper lip under my nose), acne prone, and aging skin. At almost 47 I feel like I’m finally getting a handle on it. PC has been a game changer, especially the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid. If this 20% Niacinamide can possibly help my oily skin it’s definitely worth a try. one thing that really helped my sensitive skin was to stop applying products (toner, 2%BHA, etc); with cotton pads. Since I’ve started using only my hands and fingers to apply liquids I’ve not had an issue with stinging. Thanks for this review, it was very helpful. 👍
Super psyched that you already have a review of this! It will be purchased as soon as I go through my backup 10%. I’m glad to hear that it has a slightly thicker texture because I tend to go through the 10% like... water! Higher concentration and thicker viscosity is going to be cheaper for me in the end.
I‘m SOOO excited about this one. Gosh I hope it‘ll be available in Germany. (PC sells in Germany but they can‘t sell every product, especially the high dosage ones, due to regulations. Like e.g. the 9% BHA will never be available here.) I‘ve been using the 10% Niacinamide for 2-3 years and I love it.
Are you going to do an update on this? I’m thinking of trying it but wondering if it would be drying since I’m not overly oily. My skin is normal to combo.
I have been using PC 10% niacinamide ever since I heard you rave about it. Love the stuff. I am not oily, however. So based upon your comments here, I may wait til summer, when the oils in my chin and nose ramp up, and just spot treat those areas. I noticed that a lot of my skincare already has some niacinamide in it and I don't want to overdo a good thing.
Thank you for this review! When I saw they came out with this I had just purchased the 2oz Ordinary one (I like that one) but I am stoked to try this one once I’m done with it!
38 y/o with oily skin. So glad I found you ❤️. I have been using bioderma sebium lotion to help control my sebium production and currently using 5% niacinamide from a Korean brand. I think I'll wait to repurchase the lotion and try the PC 10% to see if I get the same results and work my way up to this 10%.
Yesss!!!! Just ordered it this morning and then your video popped up. Soooo excited to start it. I’ve gone though at least 5 of the 10% and love it but need more. The fact it may help oil production is awesome. I blot every 1/2 hour. Also, Paula’s Choice is 8% cash back on Rakuten. Best time to order it.
Hi!!!! Thank you for this video!!! Your skin looks so pretty! I ordered this little guy and received it about 2 weeks ago. I did notice right away that my skin was not as oily during the day at all! I would imagine that pore size would take time to improve but I want to ask....have you broken out? I'm starting to get pimples. Some of them are deep and painful and this has NEVER happened to me! I'm 41. Could this be my skin "purging" since it's a new product? Any feedback would be much appreciated!!!!
I have not broken out from any PC products. But the Ordinary Niacinamide made me break out (a couple other products from them also made me break out). There could be a chance of purging and there could also be a chance of you reacting to the product (which would be unfortunate). You could either try to power through and treat with a good BHA to clear things up and see if it continues or you could take a break, allow it to clear up and then try again. Sometimes skin is trial and error. You know your skin best.
@@MrKongsMom Thank you! I actually stopped it for a few days to try and let me skin clear up. I have my Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads that I will use this weekend cause I only use them a couple times per week. Hopefully it's my skin just purging and I won't have to completely discontinue use. My orange peel texture skin is killing me! Thank you so much!!!
i saw it this Week on their website, i must admit 20% kinda scared me. i have normal skin and the 10% is great for me. I just ordered 150$ of products from them( without this one), so i am probably gonna wait till your final review and on me passing everything i all ready have to decide if i buy it or not. ;) Your skin looks so good by the way!
OK... so I just paused the video... What? No face blotting?!!! OMG, now I’m going to have to invest. I have used the 10% from PC but never found it did much for me. If the 20% control oils, then I’m in. (p.s. bad news... I just found out that the use of Plasma Pens is not permitted in Canada. Just when I thought I had a plan to get rid of my SH 😢).
Have you tried the other boosters how do you feel about them? I am using the Azealeic Acid but I got the Niacinimide 10 % and the hyualoronic acid one as gifts in different orders. Not sure which one to incorporate first. I am male 42 oily combo skin.
I am not sure where my first response to this went but it disappeared. I have used many of her other boosters. I love the peptide, retinol and hyaluronic acid. I have not used the azealaic acid yet. Her formulations in general tend to work really well for me. I tend to use them straight up instead of mixing them in.
Totally agree with you on the Ordinary niacinamide! I tried it after hearing great things about it from other skincare youtubers i watch, and was disappointed with the texture. I'm not crazy then haha
I really love watching your videos, you’re very relatable and super sweet. You also have an abundance of knowledge. What is your background? Education wise? Wow! 20% Niacinamide!!- wowza! I’m watching a video as I’m posting you. What will 20% actually do
I have a degree in Social Work but am now a special event florist lol. NOTHING to do with anything I talk about on my channel lol. The idea is that 20% is supposed to help with more stubborn blemishes and very sun damaged skin.
I think I need to get the niacimid maybe the 10% I have pores on my nose I can't seem to do anything about and they get clogged like black heads its really annoying . I have dry skin too.
PC 10% niacinamide works really well for me. Tried The Ordinary niacinamide, it broke me out. I am not sure how others use it. I use it on my wet face right after cleansing, wait a few minutes then apply other products.
I don't get it. You would think that they would encourage coupons and promotions on new products to encourage people to try them. The Ordinary's Niacinamide is the only Niacinamide which every made me break out. It was a beyond severe breakout too, worse than I have ever had in my life. I don't get breakouts normally. My whole jawline was about 30 huge sore under the skin blemishes. It was hell and took a few weeks after stopping product to heal.
Luckily mine were just whiteheads but there were a ton and I rarely break out. Whenever people recommend that particular niacinamide it makes me cringe lol. It does seem to work for the vast majority but you couldn't pay me to use that stuff again. The texture alone was a no go.
@@MrKongsMom OMG it was hell. I thought I was getting diseased lmao. It was all huge sore tender even itchy lumps and hurt to touch entire jaw line. I threw that out faster than the BBW Mahogany Teakwood candle.😂😂😂
@@MrKongsMom A friend was invited to her neighbor's anniversary party. Neighbors fight 24/7, play music loud and their kids have broken two of their windows playing baseball. I thought the perfect gift was a Mahogany Teakwood candle and bottle of cheap wine. 😂
What type of skin do you have? I have only used one bottle but no adverse problems and my skin is oily combo. I actually like tacky textures but I am male and don’t use makeup and I know that can layer weirdly.

I am wonder the bioavailability of a 20% solution. PC stated this product has vitamin C. I do wonder about the combo's stability.

Not being crazy oily would be a miracle in itself!
20 percent is impressive! Can't wait to hear the long term updates.
Thank goodness someone over 30 has oily skin on RUclips:-) you get me girl...
YES! We exist lol! I swear everyone is either combo or dry. Having oily skin can be super frustrating.

Paula’s choice niacinamide 20% 20ml? How weeks supply?
I used my first bottle day and night every single day and I think it last about 2 and half months?

Could people with dry skin use this
It can be somewhat drying so I would be very slow with introducing it. Honestly I would start with the 10% if I were you.
