I am a big promoter of Ai Mori. She is truly amazing. She sings mostly covers translated into Russian, but she's truly one of the best cover artists you'll find. Check more of her songs out.
Definitely check out more Ai Mori. Her covers of Over and Over by TDG, Don't Speak by No Doubt, Losing Grip by Avril Lavigne, and Bismarck by Sabaton all in Russian will change how you view her completely with each one. She can sing incredibly well. She changes her style completely to fit what she is covering. Very versatile, probably the most versatile cover artist by a long shot on RUclips. In this cover she was simply matching David Dreiman's distortion and letting Violet handle the cleans, so you don't see an accurate representation of her ability. However, I'd argue you don't see that in any one of her covers because she is often just matching the style of the original artist and doing it extremely well. Her "Losing Grip" is insanely close to the original. Nearly 1 to 1. It sounds like Avril learned Russian and sang it herself.

But when she covers Guano Apes she totally matches Sandra Nasic's raspy shout-singing and and again it sounds great in Russian to me even though I only understand very very few words in that language.

If you want an example of Ai Mori singing more like a fair maiden (although a bit dark) I'd recommend you check the video of her and some guys performing Evanescence's Bring Me to Life. Certainly more Orlandi territory as Orlandi has some likeness to Amy Lee in her voice. Ai Mori lacks some of the roundness and sultriness of Violet Orlandi but that Evanescence cover video is still a good example of her moving a bit more within the same territory and it sounds rather effortless.
I love violets vocals. It's like jinjer with out her screaming. Just a gentle voice, but powerful. With the guitar it works. She reminds me Amy lee a little bit.

In a no of other casss I prefer the covers, e.g. ones done by Lacuna Coil and I know others will much prefer the originals. Swings and roundabouts:)
