Releasing Sherlock: Giant Pacific Octopus Returns to the Salish Sea 🌊🐙 | Dive Crew

Sherlock, a giant Pacific Octopus (GPO), arrived to the Bellingham Marine Life Center May as bycatch from the commercial shrimp fisher. Yesterday he was brought back to where he was caught to go back home to the Salish Sea 🌊. Thanks, Bellingham Marine Life Center, for letting me volunteer as part of your dive crew and bring him back home 🤿🐙. Sherlock was really cool to get to know and great to work within the water. He seemed right at home and confident when he got out of the bag. 👋 bye Sherlock.
