That is a beautiful dark green metallic, I must say. Car looks really good except for that nose. From my personal experience BMW 3 series and 4 series have never been the best in class for noise insulation. It probably doesn't help that the 4 series underpinnings and architecture were not designed exclusively for BEV, unlike the Chinese BEV cars you mention as a reference.
The fully specced et5t with the big battery is ~20k Euro cheaper than the fully specced m50. But that's is depending on the added equipment on the m50.
since no one gave you a good answer i'll tell you why. the i4 shares the same platform as the petrol version. so you have a lot of things like a driveshaft tunnel that's completely useless and adds weight + take up space. shaves off on the cost as i believe the i4 should be more expensive than it is but then theres added weight

The etron is known for its high consumption..And a mycket bigger car of course.

Quality of the BMW far higher than the Tesla. So yes, the body and frame weigh more. Along with everything else.
