Wolfgangsee Lake to Gilgen Village to Wolfgangsee Village to finally Hallstatt....isn't it a bit too tight for a day or is it comfortable enough? Also, is it possible to do this 'Wolfgangsee Lake to Gilgen Village to Wolfgangsee Village' separately by bus? May I please have your views/suggestions?
There isn’t a lot to do at these villages (except Hallstatt). We just walked around and even that doesn’t take a lot of time as these villages are very small. It was quite comfortable for us and the distance between these places is also not a lot.. like max 45 mins to 1 hour b/w two places if I remember correctly. Yes, they do have guided bus tours on getyourguide that take you to the Salzkammergut region including Hallstatt. So you could do that as well!
Hey! You can reach by bus to Salzkammergut. You can search on the Austrian transport website and they’ll show bus route and options. May would be a great time , maybe a little crowded due to summers but good to visit!
