Excellent review. Came here for the pack, got sucked into all your gear. It’s nice to see other setups. I’ve switched back to film recently (technically never stopped with film) so I have a different setup. I agree with the BT filters, awesome gear. I’m still looking for a magic square filter holder that can hold 8 filters though.
HI Mason, thanks for a very thorough review, especially of the Mindshift Backlight 26ltr bag. I have been searching for a new backpack and finally sprang for this bag... but it was not because of your video!!! When I searched youtube for the Mindshift bag your video did not come up, so I did not have the opportunity to view what must be the best example available on the web! Not sure why but I eventually found it and it gave me a few ideas of ways to pack etc. I mainly shoot interiors, corporate environmental portraits and heavy industries so this bag will be great for moving gear around in some challenging situations. I have subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos. Nick, UK.
My Lowepro 450 AW has a similar loadout setup. But it is all black material, has molle loops, a built in rain cover and the over all construction is really nice. This pack looks pretty nice though.
Thanks for doing this review! I watched this video a few months ago and I decided to invest in this bag because of your review. I love your videos and you really ought to do more! Thanks again.
this is a nice camera backpack, the only I concerns that wouldn't fit the dslr pro boday with battery grip. I had one too only put my camera in sideway inorder to zipp.
What are the little waterproof sacks you show at the beginning? I've been looking for some. Great review - looks like I found my next pack. Just got the breakthrough ND's and might have to switch my CircP to them.
Just found you. Nice video. I also switched to Sony recently. Just the a6300 not the FF. I switched because of the weight and size and the FF lenses are huge, heavy and expensive. I think I might also look into the Fuji XT-2. I have a X100s also and the skin tones blow away my a6300. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks!
Spiel & Zeug now they announced the a6500. I'm pretty sure I'm getting that. IBIS is huge for video as well as the touch screen to pull focus. Maybe I'll look back into the X-T2 when the price drops. 😄
Nice video. I hope you’re better right now, no more cough. :) It’s the first time that I see any of your videos. You’ve charisma I must say. Great pieces of equipment!, that 11 to 24 mm a must have in landscape photography and your Alphas too, the best bodies in the market for sure, Sony is driving the tendency and the future of digital photography in many areas, from smartphones to medium format cameras that they develop for other companies. Well now you have a new fan in your channel !!
What camera bag would you recommend for a videographer that travels around the world: 1 dslr 3 lenses a tripod , mics and a couple clothes i was between a) (Manfrotto 3N1-35 PL Pro Lite Backpack) , b) Langly Alpha Pro or c) the Lowerpro Pro Tactic 350 AW , or what bag would you recommend me , I want a good big bag thats durable comfortable and everything proof

Woot, I'm your latest subscriber, Mason! My a6000 arrived, but I'm stuck in Upstate NY for a few more days. Nice video, gear, and bag!

Yes, with big DSLRs with grips, you'll be looking at heftier bags. The Mindshift would fill up fast with big SLR gear.
I am also interested in the 70-200mm G Master, just curious if its focus breathing is truly 200mm like Canons.
Hey Mason, sehr schönes Video!! Very nice video, thanks a lot!

jlubkin the little pouches I use are made by Montbell. They are simple zippered pouches made of sil-nylon.
Oh one more think. Can you post links to some of the products you use. Especially the Really Right Stuff gear. And bags. Amazon or B&H?
Look for that information soon on my website. masonmarsh.com

Just got my X-T2 and am really happy with it.

IBIS is the only reason I'm considering anything else instead of/besides the Fuji.

FYI that RRS tool can fit inside the tripod leg. ;)
Is this bag fine for the city too or is it way too big ? Thanks
I've watched loads of "what's in my camera bag" videos, but you are the first person besides me that had a collapsible reflector like that. .
When you know, you know! Thanks for watching!
I just found your channel and subscribed... I’m looking forward to more content from you. 👍👍
that special tool is a multibit screwdriver

a) (Manfrotto 3N1-35 PL Pro Lite Backpack) , b)
Langly Alpha Pro or c)
the Lowerpro Pro Tactic 350 AW ,
or what bag would you recommend me , I want a good big bag thats durable comfortable and everything proof
I meant to say lower pro 450
I like the Lowepro Tactic line. Solid stuff.
great review! I hate the Zeiss lens wipes though, as they leave tiny tissue particles behind which drives me bonkers.
Mason can you stack your nd and your circular polarizer without vignetting?
On most lenses, yes you can stack them without vignetting. On the 18mm Batis, nope.
dear mason, when you renew your camera bag,can i have your old one, as i can't afford to buy a house.
Keep that RRS tool handy in May :-)
So you no longer use the fuji x100s/t?
ROBIN CHUN nope. I no longer use Fuji, but I still stand behind my affection for them!
Hello my from Bhutan
WOW. How heavy is that bag ??!! Im assuming you dont walk much past the parking lot.
It's not bad. I've put in some miles with it. Of course, you can carry whatever you want. I promise I'll never ask you to carry my bag.
Are you on Instagram? Played with the 6300 a couple days ago at work. Love it!! We start selling them tomorrow.
