So, I've been writing up a fun little encounter that might turn into a short quest. It stars two interesting characters: Jabble the Kobold Slayer, a Gnome Fighter, and Klee the Gnome Hunter, a Kobold Barbarian. They are bitter foes who you will find battling in an alleyway. After that, I need to write up a structure for the potential outcomes of everything.
I love my Gnomling (Gnome father, halfling mother) rogue. He’s an absolute tiny bundle of pure Waffle House night shift energy with what even I consider busted dex stats. In other words, I’m coming for your kneecaps, hamstrings, and Achilles tendons and you’ll never see me coming.

As a dm, that book is the bane of my existance
I like gnomes because I like intelligent characters, and out of the Player’s Handbook options, they seem like the best race for that.
