the 80s sure had some great bands, but I'm so grateful to live in the 2010s and being able to witness Steel Panther. Beautiful, just fucking beautiful

I think, you're right about that. Many people may think, their lyrics are cheap, but those should try come up with lyrics, that are still funny after, let's say, 10 years.

they are really great musicians, I think that for some, it may get lost or take a back seat to how funny they are
all my teen years were from 1983 to 1989...listened to all metal from glam to thrash...saw steel panther at the house of blues for the first time this month ...Michael starr is a true star..when the lights when up and they started that first song ...that voice and look gave me chills..as a singer and performer I would put him up against any singer past and present ...amazing voice!!

Oh is it? Sorry, I don't see them often so I don't know the difference at a glance. More focused on the woman playing in this case.
+thisdamnthingy not totally diferent is the same family, the instrument is quile larger and the tuning is way lower, but is like saying a baritone or a basssix is a guitar (traditional violin family instruments all have 4 strings), but the classical term is contrabass, doublebass is more appropiate for plucked strings like a regular bass, usually same tuning
Always remember, Michael (Ralph) has a PhD from Berkeley in English Lit.
