So, TL;DR…”who cares!!” lol but seriously, thank you for the reminder that it’s whatever we make out of it. Kinda reminds me of the new found freedom I had when I moved away for college…like, what do you mean I can eat and do whatever I want! It was all fun for a while then I realized I needed some boundaries for myself. 🤣 great video and newbie approved!! Also, does the appointment to the Solo-RPG Adjudication Board come with a cool pin or at least a sticker?! Hahahaha (also, for all we know, manalone could be just a robot rig with flesh arms, we’d never know! 😎)
You got it! You're in charge (for good or bad). And on the subject of stickers. . . there might be some in the works. If we made multiple kinds, what kinds would you expect to see?
@@StagRPG bwahahaha! lol, first thing that came to mind was the “yes. ! ? No. ! ?” meme that you had posted a little while ago, along with “who cares!” 😊🤷🏻♀️😎
Excellent video and very comprehensive! I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts and your take, you’re very easy and engaging to listen to. Thank you for making it. Your experience echoes a lot of my own exploration of the rabbithole (I am also an owner of too many dtrpg PDFs). I especially liked that you emphasized how this can all be tailored to what you want to get out of the experience. I got started with Starforged as well, and I love Mythic GME 2E. Scarlet Heroes has a great balancing system for combat I really enjoy that scales up the power level like you mentioned to make one hero play pretty seamless with old school game systems. You’ve also got me interested in Traveler now too talking about that character story mini game haha. It’d be cool to see a video about how to maybe get into traveler from a solo role playing perspective. Awesome content, keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing the obsidian set up!
I am SERIOUSLY impressed by the Perilous Void from his Kickstarter (since I'm usually wired for sci-fi & cyberpunk stuff). But if Perilous Wilds is on the same level, then it's a solid recommendation.
Lots of ideas! But first, a few questions: what kind of genre do you usually enjoy? Are you watching fantasy (wizards & goblins) or sci-fi (space ships & blasters) or something else? Do you want to optimize your resources and succeed in the face of near-certain death, or do you like to see where the story takes you? Answer those, and I might be able to point you in the right direction.
Love seeing more people getting into solo play
🙏
I never knew solo TTRPG was a thing. THX for this informative video

Thanks man, I really appreciate such a thoughtful comment. 🙏
What do you need to start solo role playing? Paper pencils Dice and a copy of the Perilous Wilds. Done.

Guessing you meant "Wilona's cave" not willingness cave? Adding links in the dooblydoo helps.
Like the link to his channel in the description from day one?
