I heard some streamers kind of knocking him for taking so long. I think the judge did a fantastic job of highlighting the laws, what he could use for mitigating factors and his thoughts on what he heard in that trial. It says so much that he sentenced her back to back for the murders, when he his normal thought is to not make sentences over the top in length (like sentencing someone to 800 yrs).

Super dangerous to the public/society. The judge was great. Peter you deserve applause for staying professional and kind. If she believes things are so good on the other side why didn't she choose to go there herself and let everyone else live their lives? Lawyers say she did not believe this because if she did she d not have gone to hawaii or taking the money. Its very very sad that her life has come to this and that so many died.

His eyes made a circle… I did not want to listen to Lori but I was mesmerised by the judge calmness so as side effect I heard all this delusions… I do not know at this point if she is mentally sick or she emulates it… Regardless she caused death to many and should be locked for life.

I watched the sentencing, live. Judge Boyce was direct and reserved when pointing out the aggravating factors. He called her out in a professional way. I was kinda hoping he would really throw the hammer at her, hard, with his own notes. He brought up the sleaziest and most character-damning points. LV calling Tammy her, "eternal and wonderful" friend, makes my stomach turn. I think the sentence is just and appropriate.

@tianna1116 The death penalty is very hard on the surviving family of the victims. The appeal process is lengthy, and victims/survivors are often called to testify again. The average time on death row is 25 years. It is very costly to go through the appeal process and house them in solitary confinement--over $6 MILLION. The drugs used cost about $1 MILLION and are very difficult to find because only one company makes them. Family members of the victims say they experience the repeat of shock, grief, and loss every time a new appeal occurs. In a life sentence without parole, once the case is over, they can put it behind them, begin to mourn, and begin to heal. For the murderer, I think having to live the rest of your life in prison without a chance of parole would be a longer, more profound punishment than death--what could be decades without family, friends, intimacy, entertainment, delicious foods, privacy, personal belongings, the feeling of accomplishment when performing a job or hobby, and a feeling of peace/safety. With death, the murderer's suffering is over. However, I have never been in that situation.

I know we often refer to murderers as having narcissistic personality disorder, but Lori takes it to a whole new level. It is obvious she believes she is more intelligent than everyone else. She builds herself up with grandiose beliefs of her own capabilities. I am astonished that she expects anyone to believe so many of her loved ones died in such a short period of time bc of random medical issues, but then ended up buried in the back yard. And how can she sit there and call Tammy Daybell her friend all the while she is sleeping with her husband, marrying him 2 weeks after her death. The speech Lori gave proves her lack of self awareness. I honestly don’t know what she’s thinking. Sometimes it’s easy to peg a defendant and see what their game is, but Lori is just blind to the whole situation and is living in a false reality where she is still an innocent beauty Queen.

Her whole statement is absolutely disgusting. I don't believe her near death story at all, I think its a calculated lie. That whole section where she speaks about Tylee's suffering stinks. It sounds like Munchausens by proxy - particularly because she says "no one knew except me how much she suffered". Thats quite typical.
That whole section she's saying Tylee is better off now. I'm sure Tylee would have wanted a say in whether she lives or dies, but her mother took that decision away from her. Its disgusting
I think Lori has been a monster ALL her life.
And Tammi is her eternal friend?!! What now!??
Whatever rabbitwarren she's gone down, I hope it takes her down to a big mirror where she sees her actions carried out over and over again.

A lot of people saying she just made it all up to sound crazy, but my mother is just like her. Her religious beliefs are her existence and everything outside of her religious beliefs belongs to the devil and has no value, including people.
Thankfully my mother doesnt want to kill people, but the religious obsession is so very real. I was disowned as a small child and tolerated because she had to legally provide for me. I left at 13 and lied my way into an apartment to get away from the constant extremely strict religious beliefs being heaped on me non-stop.
My mother decided i was a prostitute at 9 years old because i was overhead talking to another girl about a boy we thought was cute. Some people cannot separate reality from the words in their bible. People like Lori and my mother are the reason why cults exist and why some beliefs can be very very bad. I lived it.
It fucked me up, I still have panic attacks and extreme bouts of self shame for things I dont even believe in.
Her kids were not just killed, but had constant psychological bullets fired at them until the day they died. I hate to say this, but if they had a mom like mine, they are better off where she can never be part of their existence.
Part of the reason I have followed this case for all these years is because she reminds me so much of my own mother. It almost feels like a sense of justice for me after all the things my mother put me through, to see Lori get the punishment she deserved and to be taken away where she cant spread her cult poison to anyone else, or cause another moment of harm to another child ever again.

Its like she was willfully taking the knife from her crime spree that they already painfully felt by her heinous and gruesome murders and twisting it into their sore souls and heavy hearts. That was some serious mountain of salt thrown upon their fresh wounds. Vile.

This is one of the most impressive convictions I have ever seen....considering the bumbling incompetence of the Utah police and theirs and the DAs seeming unwillingness to even investigate ...much less...prosecute Vallow and Daybell. They had enough to move from Day 1. Disgusting how shamelessly long it took them to finally get off their asses and do their jobs. Sorry, but anyone of a different skin tone would never have made it to a Hawaiian vacation. As for her statement, she will likely appeal, so I was not expecting her to admit her guilt--even if the jury convicted. In conclusion, I wholly believe she and Chad did it,and hope they both rot in hell.
