    The La's

The La's were the antidote to the fake, over-produced sounds of the day. I'd give anything to go back in time and see The La's perform in '87 or '88. There was something truly magical about them. I just wish they could've released 4 or 5 albums. I know you can't capture this kind of magic easily on a record, but that's the point of playing live really. It really is bizarre that Lee was content playing the same set of songs for decades though - as good as they are! If I had songs like 'Ladies & Gentlemen' and 'Human Race' etc. I'd be anxious to get out and play them....

@Alberto I would say he's more sort of bitter and paranoid because he didn't want the album to be released, and then obviously people taped him secretly i.e. Kitchen/Crescent Tapes and put it on the internet. Also on top of that he seems to have some form of musical OCD and he just can't complete a record and be happy with it.
I'd be interested to know just how much Lee gets these days in terms of royalties seeing as most people stream music.

@Alberto yeah I reckon he makes enough to live on. It is just such a shame though. Noel Gallagher says he's got 2 CDs worth of unreleased La's material, the bastard. 🤣

What a night, The support band were Ned Murphy vocals and rythmn guitar, Cammy lead guitar, James Joyce on Bass and Neil Mavers on drums, can anyone see a pattern here?
