Hello John, good to see you again
Don’t flip. rotate , flip, rotate. Gives more flavor through twice the sear marks.
Also the asparagus we like more raw than cooked. If it changes color, that’s too cooked.
What’s your comparative opinion between the 300, 301, 400 Pro, and the new larger XL? To me, it looks like a lot of counter Realestate to occupy.
    Thanks John.

I find that placement on the grill affects “doneness”. We have a family member who likes his steaks more “done” than the rest of us (he prefers somewhere between MW to W...it can have “some” pink). I usually select the steak that’s “more thin” for him and place it in the center of the grill. Then I place the other steaks on either side. I probe one the steaks for “med rare” (the first MR number), and once they’re all pulled out at the same time to “rest”, that middle one is usually “well enough” for him.

Okay I just happened to have two NY steaks laying around and thought I would try the temperature probe. I have not used it yet but have cooked many steaks 🥩 on my Ninja XL. I WAS VERY careful to insert the probe properly. I know that about 10 minutes will give me a MR steak... maybe 11-12 minutes if it’s a little thick. After about 12 minutes the probe was not reading even 119 degrees. After sticking my Thermal pen in I yanked them off the grill. Over cooked.... bottom line is that I know how to cook a steak so no using the temperature probe for me at least on steaks.
