- At the 2016 edition of Broadway Backwards, Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck showed off impressive tapping skills in a high-spirited "Forget About the Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie, joined by Eddie Korbich and the show’s brilliant ensemble dancers: Stephen Carrasco, Michael Fatica, Drew Humphrey, Bryan Hunt, Drew King, Jess LeProtto, Cory Lingner, Christopher Rice, Clinton Sherwood and Jacob ben Widmar.
Broadway Backwards, the annual Broadway extravaganza celebrating the LGBTQ+ community through the great songs of musical theater, returns to Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre on Monday, March 13, 2023. The beloved evening and its star-studded cast will embrace love and self-expression in true Broadway fashion.

Broadway Backwards creator Robert Bartley wrote and directed this year’s show, with choreography by Bartley, Al Blackstone, David Bushman, JoAnn M. Hunter and Adam Roberts. Mary-Mitchell Campbell served as music supervisor and Tim Rosser was music director. The creative team included lighting designer Paul Miller, costume designer Matthew J. Kilgore and sound designer Matthew Kraus. The production stage manager was Chris De Camillis.

Tony Yazbeck is fabulous! I saw him in "On the Town" as Gabey, and I'll never forget his version of Lonely Town. And he looked fabulous without a shirt...
He was terrific in On the Town, and not just the singing and acting. I can't swear that he was the first Gabey to actually dance the "Imaginary Coney Island" ballet in Act Two, but he sure was memorable!

Also, maybe Part of your world from the same musical would be really cool. I don't care if you don't like these ideas, they are purely recommendations. Yes. Broadway Backwards is an annual benefit concert we produce, and for several years it was performed at the Al Hirschfeld Theater, home to Kinky Boots when the show ran on Broadway.

This puts the musical version of "Millie" on the right track! I loved the original movie but every time I see the musical version of it on RUclips I'm bothered that the music and dancing looks too gay for the "straight" male characters. Looks perfect here!

Tap dancing wasn't as good as the original choreography, and they were doing it in flat shoe.
Tyler Marlin if they are doing in flats it should be cleaner as they can pick up heels better. (Which I basically can't do in my character shoes as they are 3 inch ones
