Yes G32 345 lumens is better then the new maglite 332 lumens, not just more is just has a better reflector, if you understand the reflector help the light to collect light while the maglite has a poor reflector lens design, it loses lights once you tight the beam. Also G32 would still output more light if at the same lumen rating.
@@MountaineerOutdoors I forgot, people had problem of battery corrision leak or short battery life on maglite so I respect mag for a long battery life. I had 2D leg 168 lumens maglite for 2 years the maglite is still holding up no leak, battery has been sitting in the flashlight for 5 months of use no short batteryi life also. My Mini maglite led 272 lumens, people complain about battery corrision short life, I mean honestly I never had problem even using duracell battery.
@@mollies13 I too have many Maglites and have had no problems with them either. I have some d cell ones I do not use but when I did use them I never had a problem with the battery leaking or the life of them. I however used energizer most of the time.
I like Coast but have had problems with the switches.....purchased the new Maglite pro plus 351 lumens... with the twist head....proven system with no failures.....
I own 2 HX5 flashligts from coast amd the tailcaps failed for them both. The G32 when zooming in and out changes the high/low modes when its not supposed to. Not a fan
I've had one of these for about 3 years, and It's my go to light, I don't think there's a better light out there. Unfortunately the batteries leaked and I wrecked it trying to get the batteries out, so haveto go get another one....$25 up here in Canada
This is my next flashlight to get since it cost $14.97 at lowes. I got G25 HP7 G70 Coast Led and Led lenser is my brand to pick but if i wanna step it up then Fenix. Maglite are okay light sometime there output cannot output the same as led lenser.
Mountaineer Outdoors Thanks to your very thorough review I went to the local hardware store and purchased one. I intend to use it while walking the dog. Thanks again.
My pleasure a few weeks ago I purchased another coast flashlight. I'm planning on doing a video on this one as well. I'm gonna try out this one for about a month or so first. Kinda like a comparison. I'm glad that my video helped your decision. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a great day
Very nice! Would love to see another review after a few months to see how it's held up to some every day abuse! I hope that you treated your production/stunt/acting/model/super kid to some Dairy Queen after that review!
+Ron C yep it wasn't dairy queen but some deer meat and mashed potatoes. (cauliflower potatoes for me) yeah so far I am really loving this light. Seems very good to me.
OMG....I've got flashlights all over the house...I get those darn Cree LED lights on Amazon...pocket sized big ones...they are so cheap...I should gather them for an addiction video...lol
+Ron C Yeah I hear that. When I bought this one for the video my wife said didn't you just buy one a month or so ago at Walmart?? I said yes, yes I did... Im sure I'm cut off from going out shopping by myself for a spell now.
@@MountaineerOutdoors Unscrewed the tail cap, yes. easily accessible,no. apparently there's now another get smart ,indiana jones type level of access to get beyond? silverpiece that covers the battery shaft? doesnt just pop off...
The tail cap. I quit carrying it due to the failure of it. I went through 2 of them and same thing. The lights would flicker and go off or not come on at all. When you hit the tail cap after it's on just half way it goes through the sequences.
I would like to say yes but I am not 100% sure. I've dropped it in the water before and nothing has happened to it. For the price it wouldn't be a bad option to try. I've used mine in snow and the heat and honestly have had no issues with it whatsoever.
@@MountaineerOutdoors ok thanks, I have a j5 tactical right now but the lens has gotten fogged up with moisture due to the steam around where I clean a steam tunnel for raisins and have dropped it multiple times. It turns on an all but then flickers at times on and off
I GOTTA GET ME ONE TO TAKE MY DOG FOR A WHIZ.LMAO.DOES IT SEEM LIKE FOREVER STILL TILL JAN FOR YOU TO TRAP.LOLIVE BEEN SKUNKED 6 DAYS IN A ROW.I HOPE I GET SOME THING TODAY.
+THE MAN WITHIN OUTDOORS yeah it does seem like forever but soon as bear season is out, I'm in the woods. I haven't seen all of the sign like I use to. But I know that they are out waiting for me.
+THE MAN WITHIN OUTDOORS that stinks. I was supposed to get that surgery but I have put it off. I was tested for it and they said I had it bad. I hate surgerys and doctors unless it's last resort so I will just nurse mine
IT SUCKS BUT MINE IS BAD SO IVE PUT IT OFF SO I COULD TRAP FOR A BIT.I HAVE TO GET STEROID SHOTS EVERY MONTH AND TAKE STEROID PILLS AND I GET VERY LITTLE SLEEP.
+THE MAN WITHIN OUTDOORS yeah mine isn't that bad being an electrician has taken a toll on mine. I try to use drills as much as possible now. Not sleeping sucks so if I was at that point I'd definitely do it.
I bought the Coast Polysteel 1000 lumens and it's super strong and very, very bright! Coast makes awesome flashlights!
I agree and for the price you can't beat it. I'm still using mine and it really is impressive.
I purchased a G32, and I am impressed, I use it for patrol (animal control), and I so far carry the brightest flashlight in the entire department.
I agree.. My wife liked it so much it is now what she carries. I guess I can see another trip to lowes in my very near future. Thanks for watching

Very good distance and ability to go from flood to spot is fantastic. Great review and good test, nice to see a real application of the light 👏
Thank you my friend I appreciate you watching and commenting. I believe that is the only way to show the true light. Have a great day

Some of the "cool guy" lights are ridiculously overpriced. I love finding quality affordable stuff!
+Ron C I agree plus for some reason I have an addiction to flashlights.. Not sure why. Oh well better than addictions to other stuff I guess.

I’m having trouble getting the top off to change the battery on this thing. How did you get it open to change the battery?
You need to unscrew the tail cap where the push button is. The batteries will then be easily accessible. Hope that helps thanks for watching.

That's good to have, I am now having trouble with my current one. Gonna have to get it fixed for sure or go to another brand

how does it cycle through hi/low? does it go from hi-low-off or does it remember hi/low then turn on/off?

If you go with this option keep me posted
Is there a way to remove the flashlight head?
I cannot remember because I do not own that light anymore. I don't think so though..
Is the flashlight's batteries replacable?
Yes they are
How do I open it? Battery change
I believe on the tail piece screws off
Bright for sure. 👍
+Glocked 17 Yeah I was shocked. Especially for 20 dollars
Looks like im going to lowes for a new light.
+Cave Troll it's Definitely worth the trip I can stay in lowes for hours
That is awesome!

There's no flood to spot adjustment?
with this light there absolutely is.
I bought it for 27$
Seems high?
Every coast flashlight i bought, the tail cap has failed. Dissapointed.
That's stinks I have had good luck with mine. Take it back and try it once more. Good luck 🤞
None of these videos let me know how to change the bulb. Just replaced batteries and now it dont work.... not sure about this..
Did your bulb burn out? I have never had to replace the bulb ever
