I saw this 1979 film three times. Phyllis Hyman does a great job of singing this song from this movie. I loved it.
Never saw that film, no dvd in France, got to see it one day ... One of my favorite song, pure jewel, Phyllis Hyman was so talented...

My favorite song by her. Who knows what accomplishments she would have achieved if she had lived longer? It was so sad that she never got the recognition she deserved, and she will never know how much she was loved.

The beginning of "MOSES THEME" by Frankie Blue, also on this album, is very similar to LOU RAWLS " HEARTACHES"(Just When You Think Your Loved) that's because THOM BELL wrote and composed BOTH songs, along with his nephew, I prefer Lou Rawls song, it's introduction is A MONSTER.

Yes Lou Rawls beginning is really terrific but i prefer " moses theme " because of the flute and harp, i'm fanatic about this instrus and about this kind of orchestration !! Frankie Blue's great also...
